Good machine. If not in use for an extended period, the corffee residue will freeze up the rotating members and the machine will no longer work. Rinsing the head under warm water and manually rotating the head resolves the problem.

The Nespresso Vitro next is a fantastic all-around coffee espresso machine but there are some drawbacks such as it is very noisy and leaks water. The other drawback is that the Reservoir is kind of small Roughly about 28 ounces so after the first espresso you might get three out of the tank before you need to refill it. This is the first of its type to have Wi-Fi attached to the machine it’s very interesting because basically the only thing good about it is that it updated firmware but other than that it’s completely useless there is no functionality from the app to the machine which kind of makes a pointless I can’t imagine that the firmware change is very often it’s a Nespresso machine not a computer that needs the latest firmware. Other than all of us the machine is fantastic there’s just some things that just don’t really make sense about the machine and one being how loud it is and to why it needs to be connected to a network that needs more functionality if you want network connectivity.

I was saddened to pack up my loyal Verismo machine after learning that Verismo pods were discontinued. Reluctantly, I looked for a new machine, thinking I would have to settle for Keurig which makes mediocre espresso. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Nespresso Vertuo Next although skeptical to try something new. Not anymore! I am thrilled with this machine! It is so simple, and with the included frother, I can easily make barista quality lattes. I tried the double espresso capsules and they are perfect! I no longer have to use two separate pods for a double latte. I see that Starbucks is now making capsules for the Nespresso Vertuo Line so I may try these soon but I am very satisfied with the Nespresso ones so far so there is no need to switch. Since I’m an espresso drinker, I love the variety of espresso available by Nespresso and now Starbucks is coming on board, too. I am sure my new machine and I will have a long and satisfying relationship as I did with the Verismo. FYI, to make less foam for lattes, I learned to stop the frother a little before it finishes it’s full cycle. This way, there is more milk and less foam. The full cycle of the frother is better for more foamy drinks like cappuccino.

Makes great coffee! I love coffee but have always needed a spoon of sugar before I tried Nepresso. Now the coffee is perfect so I don't want sugar! Be sure to clean it regularly, as if it gets dirty it stops working. There are YouTube videos on how to clean. Use Nepresspro descaler to clean. Nepresso could improve this product by including a how to clean and keep clean instructions with the product. This is my favorite coffee maker ever, and I've tried from Mr. Coffee to pour over coffee. This product is a definite buy!

When it actually makes a cup of coffee, it's great. I've had this thing for just over a month, and brew about 3-5 cups per day. First few days were fine, and then I'd say I started having problems with it about 80% of the time. Sometimes its only indicator light is orange, sometimes flashing, and I figured out via online forums that I have to spin a little wheel in the head of the unit that gets stuck - and of course when doing so I have to catch the pod so that it's not wasted. Once the light was just flickering lightly....not a solid blink, just flickering faintly somewhere between orange and white. Machine didn't work at all. Multiple unplugs, and eventually it came back to life. Most often the light indicates ready (which I think is described as white but is really blue), and nothing happens when the button is pressed. I even installed the app, which indicates "Ready to Brew." This is when I just start smacking the button, opening and reclosing the lid, powering off and back on, etc, at which point it might start brewing. I'd say 30% of the time it just sharts out a small squirt of coffee from a 7.7oz pod. 20% of the time it over brews and coffee goes all over the place, which may be me accidentally running its cleaning mode because I'm pushing the button too much. And no matter how careful I am, nasty coffee sludges build up underneath the machine! As of today I think it might be completely done. Says its ready to brew, app says ready, but nothing happens when I push the button. Multiple unplugs, head locks & unlocks, replacing the water tank, etc. If you're going to design a coffee machine that allows you to brew a cup by putting in a pod and pressing a button, make sure that it brews a cup when you put a pod in and push the button. And if you're going to have one indicator light, make sure you don't make your users don't have to follow a crazy matrix to understand what the light is trying to indicate. Finally, if you're going to have an app, then make sure it does more than give the status of the machine and its serial number - how about a troubleshooter? Self-diagnostics? I had to break out the old coffee maker. Going to have to do a warranty replacement and hope the next one works more than a few days.

I initially wanted to order this so that I could stop giving Starbucks all of my money! I love the machine and have used it just about everyday(except when I ran out of pods), but I will say it is a bit on the loud side! The frother on the other hand is basically silent! I was a little iffy about getting rid of my keurig since I had bought the refillable pod and I didn’t want to contribute to coffee pods in the landfill but nespresso offers pod recycling! Luckily I haven’t had any issues other than not being able to get it to connect to my phone but that’s not a deal breaker for me.

Product works as expected. We love it. The water container was cracked when it arrived, but customer service with this company was exceptional! They were quick to respond (ON CHRISTMAS DAY) and sent a replacement part immediately without charge.

Lately, I’ve been missing strong coffee and I just didn’t want to mess with my cheapie drip machine anymore. I’ve had a Nespresso before, but it was a delonghi version that didn’t have this turning mechanism to lock it. That one didn’t last so I’m hoping that this version will serve me well. I like the different pods in the welcome pack. I’ve come to appreciate the espressos and different coffees. I also like the frother. To me, it seems like the coffee doesn’t come out piping hot but it’s hot enough where I can drink it immediately and not burn my mouth, which is fine. To be honest, I’ll probably dabble in making more iced coffee since it’s summer time now. The taste is great and I live near a boutique if I really need to pick up some pods but I don’t mind ordering them from the app or Amazon if needed. If you want tons of options, you’ll be limited because Nespresso pods aren’t as widely available in different third party forms like keurig. There are reusable hacks but I’m cool with using the one time pods for now. Update Oct 2021: So far, my machine is still working well. I’ve been really enjoying the pumpkin spice pods lately. The coffee comes out nice and hot. I guess it needed to be used a few times to get the heat right. The coffee tastes great. My favorite pods are the caramel cookie, vanilla custard, hazelino, and pumpkin spice. The coconut one for iced coffee is also really great. My least favorite was the chocolate fudge. It had a weird aftertaste.
