This Z880-N flash is easy to use and reasonably rugged. The easy access to the flash compensation control is very nice. Works great with my Nikon Z8.

  • Outstanding Flash – Outperforms My Nikon Speedlites!
Style: for Nikon
I own three Nikon speedlites (SB600 and 2x SB900), and I have to say the NEEWER Z880-N i-TTL Flash outperforms them all on my Nikon Z6ii! The build quality and features are impressive. The flash duration and fast 1.5s recycling time make it perfect for both studio and outdoor shoots. The power output is reliable and consistent, and the LED modeling lamp with 10 dimming levels is a game-changer for previewing shots. One of the highlights for me is how flawlessly this flash works as the master for my Q400 strobe. It syncs effortlessly, and the built-in 2.4G wireless Q system makes controlling multiple flashes a breeze, even at long distances. The user interface is intuitive, the head is flexible for bounce flash, and the 1/8000s HSS capability has been invaluable for high-speed sync. I only wish it came with an extra battery for extended sessions, but that’s a minor issue given how well it performs overall. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a professional-grade flash that delivers on every front! ... show more

  • Even great for a novice
Style: for Nikon
I’m just getting into photography and absolutely love this speedlite! I don’t have a studio or individual stand lights so prior to getting this light the pics on my phone were coming out just as good as the ones from my Nikon. Since incorporating this light I’ve been able to take much better pictures, and be more creative with the different options and light angles. I never really thought a light would make such a huge difference but it does! It doesn’t even make that big of a difference in regards to the camera weight, yeah it does make it a little heavier but it’s pretty balanced so it’s not cumbersome. ... show more

  • Fast refresh, easy to use, snappy. Wish you could jump full stops.
Style: for Nikon
A pretty good flash. It's not the best flash I've ever felt when it comes to construction. It looks great, but when you feel it it feels a little thinner compared to some other flashes I've used in the past from different camera lines. The power button is oddly not marked, but is easy when you get used to it (it's just hold down the button on the dial wheel). Something that's a little annoying is in manual mode the wheel goes up .1 stops which is great for fine control, but there isn't a way to jump bigger steps and then fine control it. This means if you want to go from full power to 1/256 you pretty much have to spin it 80 clicks (yeah it was counted). On some other flash systems you can go full stops if you say click right or left on the wheel, but sadly this flash is all wheel and no buttons when it comes to the adjustment wheel. The flash has a M/TTL slider on the side but you can actually still go into I-TTL or M even if you are on one of the sliders. I guess it's just there to quickly access either mode if you need it. There is an AF assist light on the flash for Cameras that might not have their own af assist. It's pretty bright. The quality of the flash output is very pretty and pretty strong. Li-Ion is pretty awesome still, though I wish the battery itself was USB-C rechargeable rather than using a dock to charge it. It's just another thing to make sure you carry, and even then there's no space in the bag to carry it. It would of been nice if Neewer had a little zip up area on the bottom of the bag like Nikon did with the old SB-800 where you could carry things like the diffuser cap underneath the flash. For the price it's a really decent flash, and there's an extra $40 off coupon as of this review being written. It's still a pricey buy but it's a decent flash. I'm using it to teach my daughter manual flash and it actually works 100% okay with her Canon T7. In fact while the wheel annoys me because of creature comforts I'm used to, for her she prefers that you can't take massive jumps in power and it's a more fine tune control. ... show more
