This speedlight only takes two batteries vs the usual 4 I see, which makes me wonder how long it will actually last. I bought this one hesitantly after purchasing another speedlight, reading in the q&a that it worked with my canon Rebel t7 when in fact it did not. This one, however, specifies that it works with it and it is, in fact, compatible 🙌 It works really well so far. I love that the manual adjustment is a spinning dial vs buttons since that makes changing the power output much much easier. It's much lighter and more compact yet puts out a good flash, which I love. Its more intuitively designed than other speedlights in that I can figure it out without a manual for the most part, which is good considering I'm pretty new to external flashes still. The screen glows orange rather than green which I personally find less intrusive and prefer over others which glow green. I appreciate the fact that it not only pivots up and down but also rotates completely around, plus it doesn't feel as rigid to move like the slightly cheaper ones. I wish it came with the warmer tone cover but that's okay as I'm using it with a magsphere anyways. If I come back and edit, it'll be because it either super impressed me or let me down. It is a nice flash when it works. I have found that it completely drains batteries. I go through a set of double AA batteries every time I use my camera. Typically out on a hike for an hour or two and I only turn it on when I am ready to take photos. It also turns off in the middle of shooting and is slow to pair with my camera in the middle of shooting. Not ideal. ... show more

Brilliant flash unit once you’ve set it up. Small, lightweight, study and very powerful for it’s small size. The downside is that on manual mode the refresh rate on full power is ridiculously slow, like 9 seconds!!! TTL is the way to go with this one instead. And it munches through batteries like crazy. I had a 3 hour shoot at a 50th birthday party and I used up eight AAs!! Get rechargeable batteries. Brilliant little flash though for the price. ... show more

Me compre este flash con el disparador para mi canon 6d mark II en un momento que no lo necesitaba y lo deje guardado. Cual fue mi sorpresa que ayer lo necesitaba y no enlaza el disparador con el flash. Fui a la pagina de Altura y encontre un video con todas las espesificaciones del flash y otro video con todas las espesificaciones del disparador, valiente hombrecito que manda a los clientes al servicio tecnico cuando le preguntan por un video de como enlazar los dos artefactos. En fin que llevo casi 6 horas adivinando como hacer funcionar esta cosa. Si te vas a comprar este combo, piensalo bien, te aconsejo que compres solo el flash que si funciona con mi camara, pero no el combo, ahorrate ese dinero extra. ... show more
