The Godox V100 has become one of my go-to lights for event work. Having 100 watts of power in a speedlight-sized package is unreal. For concerts, parties, corporate events, and on-the-move portraits, this thing delivers consistent punch without ever slowing me down. The biggest advantage is the recycle time. Being able to fire rapid shots without waiting for the flash to refresh keeps me in the moment—no missed reactions, no awkward pauses, no worrying about the light keeping up. It truly lets you shoot all night with confidence. Ergonomically, it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, whether I’m bouncing light, going off-camera, or running it on-camera for quick movement around a venue. Event shooters will appreciate just how efficient it makes the workflow. As for downsides, I’m not the biggest fan of the wheel—it feels a bit basic compared to how refined the rest of the unit is. And I’m still getting used to the touchscreen interface, but it’s responsive and becomes intuitive once you dial in your muscle memory. Overall, the Godox V100 gives you true 100W power, fast recycling, and all-night reliability in a compact form factor. If you shoot events or need a powerful, portable flash solution, this one is absolutely worth picking up.

Fantastic flash! Huge upgrade over my older OEM Canon flash. I'm submitting this without images ironically, but the first time using it was for a wedding and I can't publish their images. I'm thrilled with the ease of use and overall functionality. I was a little annoyed with the touchscreen at times. It would change settings with my forehead touching it. So I had to quickly get used to locking and unlocking the screen. Other than that, I'll be getting a couple more to add for slave units. Definitely get yourself an extra battery or two if you are planning on using the modeling light or will be shooting throughout the day. The fact you can easily connect a battery pack is clutch! Easy and inexpensive upgrade.
