  • An excellent product at an exceptional price!!
We have provided separate comments on the mattress we purchased from Amazon. We monitored the pricing on this unit and the mattresses we purchased to go with the platforms that we are commenting on here. I tracked the various offers for platforms offered by Amazon for several months until saw what appeared to be the lowest pricing we had seen anywhere for this type of product that included all the features we wanted including a three level massage feature for both the head and foot area of the platform. This was the only item included with the unit that seemed to have a significant number of negative comments about it. So when I purchased two units it was the first thing I checked after getting the platform together and putting the mattress on it. First of all our units had three levels of intensity for each of the ends of the bed that can be adjusted separately or jointly depending on your preferences. After reading the negative comments on this item I wondered if the people commenting realized that the unit had the three intensities to choose from. In any event I have found these choices to be quite adequate and appropriate for this type of massage feature. The only problem I have had with it is that while it is very quiet for this type of operation the noise is still to disturbing for my wife for me to use while she is trying to sleep. Never the less we have worked out a compromise that works for the both of us and I find it a real plus for helping with my back pain. The other significant comment were the problems reported in several reviews concerning putting it together. Based on those reviews we were prepared to seek assistance if putting them together became to big a task for my wife and I to take on. When the first unit arrived we decided to give it a try ourselves. Using a dolly made moving the box around the house quite easy. We placed the box in the bedroom where it would be used and opened the box easily. Removing the two pieces took both of us to lift out of the box and place on the floor. We read the somewhat limited instructions and after reading them carefully a couple of times decided that the effort was minmal and that we could handle it. The assembly consisted of attaching the six steel legs, slipping the two drive motors into place and plugging in four well marked cables to a common control and power box and putting two batteries into the remote. The first time around took about twenty minutes including rereading the instructions a couple of times as we worked to avoid making any mistakes. When it was completed we both got at an end of the unit and easily flipped it over and set it in to place. It worked perfectly the first time an every time sense then . We will report again in about six months about how they are holding up to regular use but so far so good. The second unit we put together in a little over ten minutes from beginning to end and it to has worked perfectly to date. We were impressed with the ease that the unit went together with a well thought out plan by the manufacture and providing a unit that can be put together by just about anyone at any skill level. It definitely helps hugely to have two people involved particularly for the lifting and placement fo the bed in the right place. So far the performance of the unit and construction quality place it on par with the industry standard for bed platforms priced even on Amazon at much higher prices. We felt the pricing we paid for each unit at under $500 each was a real bargain for this product and when added it to the deeply discounted mattresses we purchased with it gave us a real bargain in getting what in our view is a fully competitive split king bed that we both enjoy at a price of half what we have seen anywhere else for a quality product. We have been a sleep number bed owner for about eight years and tried several times to try to get one of their comparable products but the best we were ever able to get a quote was $4000 plus for a split king. Thanks Amazon for providing a competitive product at a fair and reasonable price. We will provide follow up from time to time as we evaluate how it performs over time. ... show more

  • Researched many, many adjustable's and I'm extremely pleased I selected this one
Size: Full Style: Legacy Deluxe Adjustable Base
Update 6/10/18: I just wrote my review and the USB ports stopped charging. I looked under the bed and its still plugged in and its warm but they dont work - I've gone all over Amazon to try to figure pout how to message to get help and I can't find assistance anywhere. .So far I am very happy with this bed base - I have had it for three weeks so far. I have been sleeping in a recliner for over 2 years because of fibromyalgia. I finally decided to try sleeping in a bed again. I had a memory foam mattress previously but I would be so comfortable that I wouldn't move enough and then when I did move I would be in a lot of pain. I then slept in a hospital bed that had a crappy mattress. The adjust-ability of the bed was great but the mattress was not so I decided to marry the two. I researched so many adjustable bed frames and memory foam mattresses that I was beginning to drive myself batty. I had decided on this bed frame rather quickly - the mattress took a little longer. I had decided on this frame because it was in the right price range, it had good reviews, and the functions were what I was looking for. I received the bed base and had no problems setting it up (I ordered a full size bed). I'm 53 and on disability but it was really easy to set up. It was for the most part together right out of the box. I had emptied my room and the UPS driver brought the box right in my bedroom. I initially put two of the pieces for each leg on, keeping one section off, I later decided to take the other section off to lower the bed because I have a small dog and if I put the foot of the bed up it was a bit too high for her to be jumping on and off and I didn't want her to get hurt. I did find it a bit odd that the box that has the wires plugged into it slides into a metal shelf under the bed frame but there was no way to make it stay in there. It would have fallen out when flipping the bed frame over so I used a twistie to secure it in the metal casing. I had someone help me flip it over so that I would not damage the legs and I was good to go. I have not used the memory buttons yet but I plan on it. I do find that I sleep in the zero gravity position, with a couple of small adjustments most of the time and it seems to be the most comfortable position for me to sleep in. I was very surprised to find that the massage actually works! I thought that it couldn't possibly work since it has to go through the mattress. I also thought that since it was just head and feet that it would only do head and feet. But, at the high setting you definitely can feel it and it vibrates the whole body. Of course its not like a massage but you do get good vibration from it (it startles my dog so I don't do it that much). Its also good that I live on a first floor. If I was above someone I would not use it because I imagine the ceiling of the person under me would be shaking. The only minor problem I had was that I have hard wood floors and the bed would move easily and if it got too close to the wall and I lowered the head of the bed it would get stuck on the plug in the outlet and it wouldn't go down all the way. So I put a rug at the bottom of my bed so now it doesn't move around at all and I don't have to worry about that. Other than that - which is a very minor issue- I have not found any other cons with this bed frame. ... show more

  • Can't beat the price and quality on a great adjustable bed! Worth every penny!
Definitely pleased with this purchase! Price blows away any other wireless remote adjustable bed. We bought Twin XL and currently have 2 Twin XL mattresses, the jury is still out on whether we will end up switching back to a King mattress. I have yet to figure out how to sync the bases, would love feedback on that if anyone can help. As for the ease of assembly, it was great! Arrived quickly (ordered on Saturday, arrived on Wednesday), was a heavy 120 lb. package as described, but was easy to pull into the garage, and then unbox and move parts inside. The smaller parts are boxed inside of the two parts of the platform. All parts were accounted for on both of the beds we purchased, and the instructions were much easier to follow than most assembly instructions these days! The center legs are the biggest challenge, I would recommend you screw the bolt in first, and then remove, before trying to screw the bolts in over the leg itself. After reading other reviews, we decided to use our own batteries in the remote and ours works like a charm! All of the buttons are easy to push and work every time. I would agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have the buttons backlit or even if the lettering was a lighter color, it would be easier to read. Neither of the beds we bought make any creaking or groaning noises as the head and feet rise and lower, and we are "plus sized" people :) The massage is a nice feature that was just an extra for us - it is louder than I would prefer, but I can still hear the TV fine over it. The foot massager seems to be a little more heavy duty than the head massager, and it is really just static vibrating. Like I said, the jury is still out on the two separate mattresses (we have slept on it two nights at the time of this review), wish there was a bar on the side like there is on the bottom, or some way to hold the mattresses together and be able to "snuggle" without falling in a crack. Also, as mentioned, would like to find out how to sync the bases if we decide to switch to a King mattress. UPDATE: Contacted customer service and found out how to sync the bases, we are good to go! I must concur with other reviewers; this company has some of the best customer service of any company I've dealt with. UPDATE: Almost 2 years later, we still love the beds. We recently had an issue with one of the motors. I contacted customer service, and two days later a replacement part was at my house! ... show more

  • AWESOME EXPERIENCE SO FAR! AWESOME EXPERIENCE SO FAR!
I haven’t been able to sleep in a flat bed in years. Partly due to the fact that I have kyphosis so I have to sleep on my side, partly because of back surgery. Consequently I’ve slept on a love seat or in a recliner. When traveling, I’ve had to make do by creating a bed from whatever furniture and pillows are available. We bought a good quality 12” foam king size mattress several years ago. When we ordered the 2 twin XL adjustable bed frames I read the reviews and questions and found out that you could synchronize the beds to move in unison. In hopes of saving some money, I held off on ordering 2 mattresses in hopes that we could use the mattress we already had. So far, so good! The beds were easy to assemble. The remotes need to be paired to the control box. Do that before you flip the bed over and you’ll save yourself some time and having to lay on the floor to reach under the bed. A beep confirms the remote has been paired. Nice. These beds vibration motors have 3 speeds. The description didn’t indicate that when I read through it several times before purchasing. I almost bought the Posture + model just to get the 3 speeds. I would have been disappointed, as this model also had it, and it’s really just a little vibration. It may be more impressive with a thinner mattress, but no matter. It is a nice extra. We had to put the legs on their highest setting to fit our bed. Due to the style of our bed, we are not able to use the USB connections. If I were to make a recommendation, it would be to make the USB box separate from the bed frame so that it could be relocated to another part of the frame. This would also enable to locate one on each side of the bed, and mount them in an accessible location regardless of your bed style. Built in, in a fixed position on one side, when using 2 Twin XL frames to make a King size, the frame on the right will have the USB ports blocked by the left frame (when facing to bed from the foot). One of the vibration motors was broken upon arrival. It was making a rattling sound that I first mistook for thick paper being crinkled. I contacted Classic Brands and they overnighted me a replacement motor which was easy to replace, and gave me the opportunity to speak with “Gayle” who everyone raves about. I understand now why. She was very helpful and followed up via email with a tracking number. I took the old motor apart and found that a small plastic tab had broken off, probably in transit, that was being moved around by the motor until it eventually jammed the motor. Luckily, I unplugged it from the control box as it could have overheated and potentially caused a fire. I am please with the build quality. I am an Engineer, and trained to look for weak points or potential failure points. I initially see none. I’ve been sleeping in the bed since I got it set up on 7/3, and have been able to sleep through the night AND GET UP IN THE MORNING UNASSISTED! That’s huge! They do not recommend raising the bed beyond the max height of 10.5” which is the maximum achievable height with the modular legs provided, so know that going in and don’t plan to raise it higher due to the fact that the legs could bend. I am looking for a bed skirt that will work on the bed frame now. It would be nice if Classic Brands offered them so I wouldn’t have to try to find one that will work mechanically. This seems like it would be a good new product for them. Hint, I’d make it a wrap around style that would secure to the base magnetically. This would aid in washing as well as you could attach the magnets to the washtub and dryer tub. There are a number of sellers who appear to sell this same bed under different names. I’d recommend buying from Classic Brands as they support their product and are good to work with. Update 8/9/18: New massage motor arrived and was installed and is functioning. A few days ago the head motor on one of the beds stopped working. I emailed Classic Brands and they suspected it was the control box and overnighted a replacement. That did not remedy the problem so I emailed them again and they overnighted a new motor which arrived today. The new motor has different cabling that will not connect to the control box. I have emailed them again and await their reply. ... show more

  • Excellent purchase Excellent purchase
I purchased this bed for my disabled mother, so she could get her legs higher than her heart to reduce edema, and to make it easier for her to read or watch TV while in bed resting. I had looked at hospital beds, but they were much more expensive and only raised the legs at the knee, not the entire lower leg area, and didn't have the zero-gravity position. Another problem with hospital beds is that they are much longer due to the hardware, and her bedroom space is limited. (Plus they're rather unattractive, which was one reason my mother didn't want one.) This one is no longer than your mattress, unless you choose to put it inside a bed frame. One consideration if you're looking at this instead of a hospital bed, though - there's no way to attach side rails. My mom didn't need them, so that wasn't a problem. She's been using it for a month now, and it's working out great. If we had enough space in our bedroom, I'd buy the king-size for myself and my husband. The Zero-gravity setting is amazingly comfortable. But we only have room for a Queen, and that wouldn't allow for separate settings for 2 people. The box as delivered is heavy. If your delivery person will bring it in for you, I'd recommend it. Otherwise you could open the box and move the pieces individually pretty easily. Setup went pretty well - we had it assembled very quickly. The only problem we had was pairing the remote, because the instructions are poor. Some of the mechanical parts attached to the bedframe are secured by cable ties, which you will have to cut in order to access them properly: When you start assembling the bed and it is still upside down on the floor, be sure to do the following (see photos): Cut the cable tie holding the power adapter. Slide it entirely out of the bracket, open up the back panel, and insert two 9-volt batteries. This is optional, and the batteries are not included - but if your power goes out, it will allow you to still raise/lower the bed. That was an important consideration for my mother, so that she'd be able to make the bed flat again if the power went out while she was in the zero-g position. Cut the cable tie on the connector box. Before pairing the remote, slide the connector box out so that the area marked as "Remote Pairing" is entirely exposed. It must be entirely clear of the metal bracket. (My photo was taken before I attempted pairing, and I ended up having to move the coiled cord and slide the connector box out even more before I was able to do the pairing.) Once that's done, you can pair the remote. It will beep once when it goes into pairing mode, and then AGAIN if it's paired properly. If you don't get 2 beeps, it probably isn't paired. You can test it by trying one of the massage buttons before flipping the bed over. It's my understanding that any of the buttons on the remote can be reprogrammed, but I haven't tried that. As for the mattress, I purchased the Drive Medical 15770 Gravity 7 mattress, which is designed for hospital beds. It fits very well with no slipping, and by taking out the short section of the leg pieces, the bed with mattress comes to almost exactly the same height as my mom's wheelchair, so it's easy for her to transfer between them. I also purchased Clara Clark Twin XL sheets. They fit the mattress fairly well, even though it's only 6" thick, but they would work on thicker mattresses, too. • 8 years later - still great!
I have owned two of these adjustable bases for over 8 years. I think they are an incredible value. I highly recommend, and will definitely buy again if these things ever break. The only issue I've had is that the zero gravity and TV/pc position functions (the buttons on the remote that move the bed into those two positions automatically) eventually stopped working properly. I would say that happened pretty quickly on one of the beds, and took a few years on the other. I can still get them into those positions by moving the head and foot independently. It's just that the buttons that cost the bed to move to those positions automatically stopped working. Beyond that though, there have been no issues at all. One of the bases is adjusted several times every single night. So we're talking many thousands of adjustments at this point. And neither unit has ever failed. I very how highly recommend this product. If you're looking for an adjustable base, just buy it. Also, I've seen many other adjustable bases carrying various brand names. They almost all seem to be the same thing. So, don't waste your money on something from the mattress store, or the bed in a box website. It's probably just going to be this same thing with a higher price tag. ... show more

  • Great bed base for the price!
I just got this bed base yesterday and I'm giving it 5 stars at this point. If anything changes, I will edit my review. I was a little skeptical after reading some low star ratings, but for the price I was willing to take the chance. It looked like the parts could easily be replaced if needed and there is a 3 year warranty on the bed. I called customer service at 877-707-7533 and it is a working phone number for Classic Brands so I felt pretty confident. As with anything ordered on the internet, you take a chance. Also, if there are electronic components or motors I am not surprised if something malfunctions. Review: I really like this bed base for the price (Queen was $496.07 with tax and free delivery) and I researched a lot of them. Being able to adjust the head and foot positions is truly a luxury that everyone should enjoy. It adds the ability to be comfortable for sleeping, watching TV, meditating, typing an Amazon review, etc. The other plus was being able to remove my Queen panel bed headboard and frame. I have a small bedroom right now and I think I gained about 1 foot of space at the foot and 4 inches on either side of the bed. We placed the bed base about 1 inch from the wall. Granted it's not a wall hugger model, but the price was right. I previously bought a bed base with a mattress from a mattress store that only had head incline and I paid more for that 6 months ago. That bed base went into the guest room and this is the replacement. The reason that I chose to be economical is because I really want to replace my queen size bed with a split king size bed. Since that will be very expensive, I decided to do this first and this will become a guest bed in the future (a very nice one for a guest!). The bed base was delivered in the window that was set. The box was in great shape and I chose to have the box delivered to the room of my choice (no additional charge) and asked the delivery people to place the box in my hallway upstairs. My boyfriend is much stronger than me so he took charge of putting it together. Normally, I handle mechanical assembly, but I was cooking dinner. He had the bed frame together in less than an hour which tells me that the instructions were very good. The only thing he said is that it is very heavy. I helped turn the bed over and place it in position, but I don't see that as a negative. I want a solid piece of furniture that is going to hold around 300 pounds (two people). Remote: 1) I'm noticing that the "Head Up" button sometimes takes a harder push, but I'll just request a new remote if it becomes a hassle, but I'm finding it difficult to search for replacement wireless remote. I can probably find a control box and wireless remote combination eventually. 2) I got a manual that was for a different control box used in my bed base. The instructions say to press and hold the red reset button to program the Zero-G, TV/PC, and Lounge button on the remote, but I don't have this button. I googled program Classic Brands wireless remote and found that my "gray" control box is programmed differently. It's actually, much simpler to program the remote with this control box. All I had to do was get the bed in the position that I wanted and hold down the button to be programmed plus the "flat" button at the same time. I heard a beep and I was set. USB built-in: Nice feature! I plugged my phone into one of the 2 USBs and placed the phone on my night stand. I think a pouch on the side of the bed would be nice to store the phone, remote, and/or tablet, but I can customize something and place it where I want. Massage: I didn't buy this bed for the massage feature and knew that I would probably dislike it and I did. Some people will like the vibration feature and that's exactly what it is. I find it very annoying and I can hear it vibrating downstairs which is actually kinda funny. It reminds me of the vibrating hotel beds from the 70s, but I'm sure some people will love this feature. Adjustable Legs: Nice feature! We have it on the highest level, but will probably take it down because it's much more comfortable to watch TV while looking slightly up. I have my TV mounted a little higher and tilted down so that I don't have to tilt my head forward to be inline with it. Bottom line: This is a good price for an adjustable bed base with many features. If you are resourceful in Googling issues that arise you will be fine. In all honesty, I figured I would just buy a replacement motor after the warranty if needed. These bases are really not all that technical and they have linear motors that I can probably find on eBay, Amazon, or a compatible replacement. ... show more

  • Stay away!
Size: Queen Style: Deluxe Adjustable Base
Classic Brands has to have the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We purchased Classic Brands Adjustable Comfort Upholstered Adjustable Bed Base 2.0 with Bluetooth Compatibility, Massage, Wireless Remote, USB Ports-Ergonomic Head and Foot Incline, Queen through Amazon and it was delivered on April 22, 2022. On Monday 4/25 I called customer service to inquire about the brackets for the headboard and their cost. I was told by Jason that they were out of stock and he was not sure when they would be getting them in. I asked to be put on a contact list so that I could buy them when in stock. He said they would not do that and I would have to just call in periodically to check on them. I was not looking forward to that since they have an automatic phone system. I asked when they might be in and he said "I have no idea, they are somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean." The following Friday we discovered that we had accidentally washed the remote with the sheets and it no longer worked. Called CB (Classic Brands) on Monday May 2nd and spoke with Jason in customer service again, and told him exactly what had happened. I was very transparent about it being our fault, not a warranty issue. He told me I would need to email them a picture of "the law tag" from the bed which I promptly did that morning. He said that after he had received the picture he would research and see which remote we needed and that we would then get a Paypal request for payment. Once paid, the remote would be shipped. I called back later that afternoon to make sure Jason had received the pictures and that everything was moving along since our bed was not in a sleeping position and we were sleeping on the floor.. He said that Accounting would have to process the paperwork before anything further could happen, I asked him to expedite if possible and he said he could not. The following morning at about 11:00am I received the Paypal request and within 5 minutes responded with Paypal payment. I thought ok, the remote is finally on its way. It had been 4 nights of sleeping on the floor. On Thursday after 7 nights of sleeping on the floor, I called CB again. This time I was connected to Gayle who seemed very helpful. I explained what had happened and that I wanted to make sure the remote was on its way. She started off by telling me that if we unplugged the bed and waited, then plugged it back in it would automatically go level. I tried it and it did not. She said "OK, let me check on your remote" She then told us that it had been shipped and she would get me the tracking number. When she called back, she was sorry to inform that it had not been shipped but it would go out immediately and they would overnight it and we would have it tomorrow. She then called back again and told us that they had missed the shipping deadline and it would not go out until Friday. While I had her on the phone I asked her about the Bluetooth capability that was advertised with the bed and she informed that it does not work. That they need a new app and perhaps a control box. It might be ready by the end of May. I was livid. On Saturday fortunately we left on a cruse and were able to sleep in a bed. Returned home on Friday May 13th to find the remote had arrived. We anxiously opened the package and followed the directions to pair the remote with no success. We called CB customer service and Jason answered. He walked us carefully through the steps and still nothing. He said must be it is not compatible with your control box. We will have to figure out what to do. I told them what they could do with this bed. Monday morning I called CB again, once more I got Jason. He said I must be doing something wrong so again he walked me carefully through the pairing process, to no avail. I decided to send them a picture of the control box and the remote that I had by email. He responded with an email and an attachment of a 9 page manual. He told me to follow the directions on Page 14. I read through the manual and there were no instructions for pairing the remote. I sent him an email explaining that there is no page 14, the manual only goes to page 9. No response. So Monday afternoon I called CB again and spoke with Jason, He said he had not seen my email. I explained to him that he told me to look on page 14 in his email but there were only 9 pages. He quickly got defensive and said that he said to look at page 10 not page 14. I had the email in front of me and said no, that he had told me page 14 but even if he had told me page 10 THERE ARE ONLY 9 PAGES! He then told me he would send out a new control box and remote that are compatible. I thanked him. Later that day at 3:04pm I received an email that said "The confirmation number is SO1125526 tracking will follow shortly."
