It’s a great grill and well worth the assembly time. Ours arrived with punctures in the carton, one which dented the top of the hood. I contacted Napoleon and they answered promptly and had opened a case file and advised me to be patient. The searing grill works as promised. Veggies were done in less than I minute, steak about 1 minute/ side, then transferred both inside the grill to continue cooking. I can’t wait to sear tuna and salmon. I assembled the grill by myself with the guidance of YouTube tutorials. I’m not totally done but have spent around 4 hrs and expect to complete tomorrow in about an hour. I’m a 73 year old woman so if I can do, anyone can! Updated Review 4/17/21 Our grill is now perfect and I’ve had the benefit of having more grilling experiences and the thrill has not diminished. The side sear burner is a favorite and very versatile with different heights and heat settings. We use a grill tray for browning caramelized onions or any food that needs more support. I’ve seared salmon directly then transferred it to a grill pan and turned the sear burner down to achieve a slightly pink center. If you prefer it well done, sear it first then grill it under the hood. Can’t wait to grill tuna. The ignition system is flawless. The lit knobs look really cool but would be especially helpful in warning children that it’s hot. The rotisserie basket is ideal for cooking food you don’t want to have to turn. We have grilled potatoes, mixed veggies, and reheated chicken breasts which stayed moist and tender. Chicken wings would be fabulous. The rotisserie makes the most succulent roasted chicken imaginable- far superior to any in the markets without brining. I seasoned ours with lemon,rosemary, and garlic and the aroma was intoxicating. The skin was seared perfectly and the meat was moist, tender, and flavorful. The stainless steel wave grills conduct the heat uniformly and are easy to clean. We bought the charcoal tray which has a special section for smoking wood. Although we haven’t tried it yet I know it will work well as it fits securely within the grill. No lighter fluid necessary as the charcoal is lit by turning on the grill making it safe and simple. Yesterday I made a rectangular pizza using low heat underneath while the rear sizzler was on high. I rotated it half way through. The crust baked perfectly and the cheese was bubbly, the pepperoni crispy, and the edges seared slightly just as if it was baked a very hot professional pizza oven. The shelving inside holds grilling trays, silicone gloves, and a few accessories. I hang a few essential on side handles and on the built in hooks. Our spring has been cool and damp, not the best weather for barbecuing, but we do our best to use the grill several times a week. My husband now enjoys grilling so it has been a great investment in many ways! My only regret is not getting a grill of this quality decades ago. The Napoleon Pro Prestige Series 500 replaced a very popular brand which is currently a plant stand as long as the rust on the bottom doesn’t eat through the base. There is no comparison in quality and performance. I would give Napoleon 12 stars if possible! ... show more

This grill is awesome. It looks very nice, the lighted knobs are a cool feature along with the lighted cooking area and lighted storage. The logo shining on the deck is also a cool thing. It, like the knobs, for me are just a guys thing to impress and brag about although my wife loves them as well. It assembles without too much difficulty the instructions aren't great but if you look at them and how they are done there is a lot effort to make them very good. There is more information there than one expects like where each part is located in the packing. I enjoyed even the 2-3 items I had to look at a couple of times because I enjoy building things and using my head and my hands. The packaging is absolutely phenomenal. You can't miss the effort put into it by just looking at the detail and the materials used to protect it. Mine arrived double skidded and the box did not have a single mark on it and not a single item had the slightest smudge even. There are a couple things I want to mention I am not impressed with one being the "infrared rotisserie". It does produce infrared but it does so by heating a punched out piece of stainless steel with a burner behind. It is not a ceramic like my other grill, a Monarch from Sam's Club, I bought 19 years ago. But, I had replaced the burners, grids etc. 3 times and I just wanted a new one and not as huge. I actually saved the ceramic infrared burner for this new grill once I realized how cheaply it was made (as most other grills are now for the sake of saving money). I use the rotisserie to cook Thanks Giving turkey and have for decades. That is it. This rotisserie did a very good, respectable job but I prefer the real ceramic burner and will swap this out when I have time. My old Monarch infrared ceramic burner is modular so it'll be an easy swap. Second thing, this grill is "monococh" construction (frameless) and, being light ga. sheet metal it will flex so the best way to assemble it ESPECIALLY when installing the doors is on a level, flat surface and, when placed in location, "shim" the wheels so it is level. If not, you will pull your hair out and blame the grill. If you plan to use a griddle plate it needs to be flat anyway. If not your eggs, or whatever, will run for sure! A little heavier material and a few more screws would help but it would also add cost and the price point now is pretty well up there but to me well worth it! ... show more

    • This Grill is MORE Than I hoped for!

I supposed I will start with order and delivery. Delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday between 9-12. But, was called a few days before my scheduled delivery and was told the order would be at my house a day early - yay!!!!! Short version - showed up at my house at 7 pm on the originally scheduled day. Assembly - A few highlights. You can do MOST of the assembly by yourself if needed. Lifting the main unit onto the stand definitely takes two, but my daughter helped me with no problem. Overall, the instructions are as poor as other editors have noted. But, Napoleon does have a video online to help ease the pain, and it it did indeed ease the pain, lol. Quality - Once I put it together, I was... breathtaken??? The grill is gorgeous. It fits together with amazing precision, and fits the expense. I am thrilled with how it looks. Use - whew... the grill heats pretty quickly, and gets up to any temperature you could need. The back burner is fantastic as I have never had one before. I used it last night to put a final broil on some clams. They came out amazing. The side unit is also really nice... have used it for pots mostly at this point, but it heats well and makes cooking a side a joy. The lights are super handy, and am so glad I got this unit, in large part because of these. Cooking at night is a joy, and even a THRILL lol Its like Christmas every night with this unit. If you can afford it, and are looking at high line grills, this one is impressive and a must consider. So far, extremely happy with my purchase! ... show more
