I used magnesium for a long time but I didn't know that they are false advertisement because they did not describe magnesium amount of a serving as elemental magnesium. So my calcium intake is more than Magnesium. When my bone density is not improved and a bone spur under my foot, I looked up google and found out the mistake. I choose this one because it clearly said about elemental magnesium per serving and no fillers. Next year my bone density test will evaluate the value of my choice. ... show more

Update: while I like Toniiq brands in general, this was not a good product for me. Very much a laxative effect and it was not an adjustment period, it was several weeks so I did my due diligence. I’ve switched back to my previous brand and first morning (I take Mag at night), zero issues. It may be this is just formulated different and doesn’t work for me. Just be forewarned, if this is an issue for you. It was an issue for me, having to stop at restrooms on my drive in to work - daily! I don’t care how good my sleep was at that point. And if I’m talking to complete strangers about how something affected my bowels, you know I’m serious (and also turning into my grandmother, scary thought, lol). Previous: Normally I don’t like to swap GI stories, but wow - I’ve been a bit “overly regular” since starting these. I hope it’s because I switched brands this week and this is my body adjusting? Mag Glycinate has never had a laxative effect on me in the past, it’s not supposed to, which is why I take it (I have IBS so I’m cautious with anything that can cause GI disturbance). Previous brands were Pure Encapsulations and Thorne - no issues. Even Thorne MagCitrate, which I take a very low AM dose of for energy (125mg) has never bothered me. And I do really like Toniiq brands (I swear by their Boswellia) so I figured I would be good with this as an alternative when my Pure was not in stock. But, umm, wow - laxative. Pros: I did sleep great and it’s very affordable. Cons: I’ve literally been on the toilet multiple times a day for several days. I’m going to give it a few more days, because I do like the elemental dose and the sleep did seem better. Hopefully it’s an adjustment period, like I said. Maybe it’s tougher on someone with IBS, maybe it’s not buffered the same. But if no improvement, I’ll be heading back to Pure. This isn’t my best life right now, lol.
