Re-mounted an existing doorbell on front door and and existing doorbell on the side door entry into the garage. It’s easy to install and, despite the front door not getting full sun, it appears to be keeping the charge up without battery changes. The footprint is larger than the doorbell, so adding it to an existing doorbell neatly hides existing mounting holes and paint fading artifacts around the mount. One downside is the signal strength (RSSI) to the doorbells appears to have been lowered by 5 after installation. Likely the wrap around design is shielding some of the signal. For one of the doorbells it is a meaningless difference. The other one still works, but is marginal. If you already have a minimal signal strength that may be a problem. In my case the level is adequate (it’s working fine), but I will be adding a wifi extender or mesh for other purposes anyway in the very near future. ... show more

Forget the actual ring solar that attaches to the ring, this one actually solarizes & charges. Easy to install. The ring solar doesn't aborb enough energy from sun to keep in charged. Mine was in the sun all day & I never could get it to charge right. This one is a winner. Especially for the price.

This solar charger is a must! Definitely recommend for anyone who’s forgetful like me and never has charged batteries regardless of how many you have. Is very sturdy and was so easy to set up that my 17yo got it mounted and going in just a few minutes.

I have 3 wireless RING doorbells and they all run out at the same time. I usually end up charging them overnight which I hate because I feel very vulnerable without them. This is so convenient and great value for money!
