Didn't know what to expect when I bought this tiller, so far It's the best thing I bought last two years, pro, does a great job on existing beds and as a weeder, way more power than expected, lightweight and easy to maneuver between rows or plants, con's, battery good for about 20 minutes, knowing it's not intended as a weeding machine the tines get snagged up with weeds pretty fast but to be honest the worked up ground looks great when worked, anyone that needs to work up ground that hasn't been tilled before, this isn't what you want to buy. If you have bigger yards of established beds and 20 minutes isn't long enough buy the extra battery right away. I'm going to start at 5 stars, short lifespan would be the only reason I'd give less

I have a 250sqft raised bed vegetable garden filled with a fairly loose soil mixture. Weeds and grasses are a problem and frequent hoeing is needed to help control them. It gets very warm on the south side of my house here in Florida and I haven't been inclined to sweat out the manual labor. The MZK Cordless Tiller Cultivator changed that. The light-weight beast makes short work of the task. The Summers are too hot for most vegetables so I slash down all persistent weeds and solarize the garden from July to early September. After removing the tarp I add a few inches of soil amendments and mix it in deeply with the cultivator. At 68 y.o. I used to hire some young muscle to turn the soil with a pitchfork, but not now. During the growing season it is easy to maneuver between plants and control the dig depth to avoid their roots. For compacted soil it burrows nicely with a few drag backs. There are times when it catches on a thick root left from last years crop and I was relieved that the tines locked immediately without any damage and resumed working normally once I dislodged the impediment. With it I actually look forward to working the soil and being so productive without straining but getting a bit of needed exercise.

Works better than expected. Used it to till an existing raised garden bed (10x10). Took about 7 minutes. Went down 6-8 inches. Any small rocks that were in the way just got pushed to the side. Still had 3 out of 4 bars of battery left. Tines were sharp and didn't get bogged down. The reason I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars is related to the assembly. There were 2 screw down locking handles (one on the bottom rod and one on the top rod). There should only be one on the top. Needed to unscrew and remove the one on the bottom in order to connect both portions of tiller and screw down top one to lock in place. Not a big deal once I realized there was an extra one and watched a video that showed the same issue. And the washer that collapses when tightening the handle was a separate piece and not attached to the handle as seen in the Amazon videos. Aside from that confusion, everything works well. Battery charges easily. Light on the plug shows red (needs charging) or green (fully charged). Also, little button on battery that lets you see who much charge is left. Just press once and it shows battery life that's left. Light goes off automatically. Nice touch. Overall, decent product for our needs and easy to use. Just watch the videos in the thumbnails on this site to see assembly which wil make it simple. (photo of extra handle attached)

I am really pleased with this little tiller. It came during the summer heat wave and I'm only just now getting out in the Florida garden to really use it. And what a great job it does. We're preparing our fall garden, which involves loosening the soil and clearing out weeds. It's very maneuverable which is a plus for tilling weeds without disturbing existing plants. And it is powerful enough to get down into the soil and really do a good job. Further pluses, it arrived very well packed. The manufacturer did an excellent job of package engineering. And, it was easy to assemble. Big plus, it's lightweight. I have a big, gasoline powered tiller as well. I haven't pushed the MZK, but I doubt that it will go through rocks and big roots like the big tiller. But for 90% of what we have to do, the MZK is going to be the tool of choice. It's a valuable addition to our garden equipment and my wife and I thank the people at MZK for offering this tiller that is right sized for our garden.

I love my new tiller! Easy to put together, easy handling. I tilled an area in my yard that was grasses. It even pulled the roots out, went down abt 6inches. I used my grass as mulch for my vegetable garden. Get the one with 2 batteries. One battery only lasts abt 20 mins.
