This Mustart 40 amp level 2 charger works great with our 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and 2021 Audi e-tron. The Pacifica has a slower charger built-in and will charge at just under 30 amps max, so if the Pacifica is your only EV then you will save money buying a 32 amp Level 2 charger, because paying more for a 40 amp charger will not give you any faster charging speed. But if you think you will get another EV in the near future, then it's best to just get the 40 amp model now. As for the Mustart charger itself, construction of the box seems top notch, and the cable is very thick. This was the lowest cost 40 amp charger I could find that had a 25-ft total cord length (chargers under 20 ft wouldn't reach my second vehicle). Note this model is the bare bones charger and attached cables only; it includes no mounting hardware. Mustart sells mounting hardware separately (while other brands includes them) and the cost varies from $8-20. I just used brackets I already had to mount this to the wall. The LCD read-out is nice, however, Mustart should switch the positions of the maximum and actual current read outs. The actual numbers are what I am interested in and what fluctuates. The maximum is just that and will always stay the same. So it would be better to make the actual numbers in a larger font size so that they are easier to read. But hey, other low-cost chargers don't even have an LCD display, so the fact you get basic information with this one is a huge plus. I am very satisfied with the Mustart 40 amp level 2 charger, and would buy this again. I highly recommend it.

I made this purchase based on the advertising. After making the purchase, I began reading some negative reviews from fellow EV-er's in my EV group and decided to return it. I called the Mustart Company. I spoke to a very nice gentleman. He accepted my decision to return it with no questions asked, but wished I would've used it and given it a fair trail before returning as he was sure I would've loved it. I have nothing negative to say about this company.

I ordered this charger and contacted an electrician to install the outlet at the same time. Unfortunately for me, the electrician canceled my initial appointment. By the time he finally got around to installing my outlet I discovered my charger was not working properly and I was past The return date. This company wanted to make sure I was happy and went ahead and exchanged it for a new one that works great! I highly recommend Mustart. They went above and beyond for me. If I ever need another charger, you can bet it's going to be from this company.

We bought this last year for a BMW i3. Worked great, no issues. We recently upgraded to full electric, so a 2019 Audi etron and a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq5. Unfortunately the charger could not adjust. Both vehicles have a hibernation phase where they are more or less still on for a short time after you turn them off. During that time we could use the charger but once they fully switched off, so did the charger. Took about a week to figure out what was happening but once I tried the dumb charger included with the etron, all issues were resolved and I could charge continuously on 240 and let the car manage the charge. The controller included with this charger works great if the car is not also managing the charge.

The housing unit cracked at the screw set and the Mustart people replaced it with no hassel. They only asked for a pic to improve their product. A great company that wants to treat the customer right. The charger is awesome too!!!

Buyer beware: this product can only be returned through Amazon within 30 days of purchase. For us, that was not long enough since it took about two weeks after purchase to have an electrician wire it in. The first use was fine and the vehicle didn't need to be charged again for about another 3 weeks. The second time it was totally dead and didn't work. Even though the product has a year warranty, the 30 day return window had passed. Had to go through the hassle of contacting the seller directly who asked for a video to prove it doesn't work. No videos allowed through Amazon messaging so right away this feels off, but why even ask for one? You can test it for yourself when I send it back to you. Anyway, it's been a big hassle and I wish I would have just sprung for a more expensive trusted brand instead. Bottom line: $400 for this charger, plus $600 more to have it wired in so $1000 for one charge and we still don't have a replacement. Don't get this charger, but if you do, don't use this seller.
