    • Expensive for non-professionals, but I can see why - Worth It

This is a solid piece of metal. I can see why it is so expensive. It is designed intelligently - with each contour able to treat various parts of the body. It is two-sided - one sharper edge to treat more superficial fascial/trigger point issues, and the other more dull side to treat deeper tissue. Works well with “Free-Up” massage cream - both used by my physical therapist. This is a great tool that helps relieve some trigger point issues. Another possible benefit (or problem): looks like a set of brass knuckles and can probably be used in the way in a pinch. So I bet this would present a problem in carry-on luggage at the security line. What do others say? ... show more

Pretty awesome tool. Doesn't quite compare to the graston kit but what the hey, not spending 2 grand here. 26 years experience as a PT and osteopath. Glad to have a new tool in the toolbox. update a few years later. Still love this tool and in some ways find it better than the original graston tools. The edge on this tool blows away the cheap copies out there. Since my first review i have grown to love the precise edges. One of my favorite tools to use with my physical therapy clients. Good quality metal that fits perfectly in my hand and isnt overly heavy. I am able to better feel soft tissue restrictions that I otherwise couldnt with just my hands. I've tried various brands including Graston and hawk grips and this one continues to be one of my go to tools.     • An alternative to PT Graston tools...

I was in physical therapy for 3 months due to tendinosis in several of my calf and lower leg tendons. During that time I was introduced to the Graston Technique by my physical therapist and the treatment worked wonders at breaking down the scar tissue that had formed on my tendons. I of course wanted to use this technique to maintain healthy tendons after PT was over, and it turns out it is VERY hard to find these kinds of tools available to the general public. I decided to give this a shot due to the inability to find the same tools that the PT used. This is much different than what the PT used. This tool was thin, light and precise. This took is heavy with a wider edge. While the tool is different, I have used it and it does provide relief when I feel my tendons are tight or need some maintenance. So yes, it works. If I had access to the tools my PT is able to get I would choose those over this but with limited options out there, if you are familiar with Graston technique and want something for home maintenance this is definitely worth giving a shot. ... show more

I first encountered the Edge tool when a physical therapist used it, in conjunction with dry needling, to treat a particularly tenacious trigger point in my shoulder. It is fabulous for soft tissue manipulation, achieving release of myofacial tissue with very little pressure. I purchased the Edge tool from Amazon for use at home on some persistent muscle spasms and trigger points in my thigh. It is very easy to use, and can be a life saver between visits to the massage therapist. I own just about every home massage device on the market - this is the best. ... show more

    • A Great Tool for IASTM!!!!

The Edge tool is amazing and every bit as good as the expensive tools that you would have the benefit of in Physical Therapy. I have severe adhesions from 2 surgeries and a month in a long leg cast. The Edge at home has given me wonderful improvement in my mobility and ROM. Invest in the stainless. You wont be sorry. My only regret was that I didnt purchase it sooner. Watch some YouTube videos, do some research, start slow and your ready to go. Do not be intimidated. You will need at least 3 treatments a week for about a month or two but I promise, you will have results. Start as soon as possible when your injury or incision has healed adequately. The Edge tool has been a great adjunct to my manual therapy practice. I use it daily and have found it to be extremely effective. I have smaller hands and was initially nervous that this might be an issue but it is actually quite easy to grasp. The design is well thought out.
