I am very pleased with this. It will be a great addition to my home kitchen, as well as camping. I like that it is rated a 1000 watts, meaning I can get some considerable use of of it with my 1800 watt power station, and easily recharge the lost wattage with solar. I checked actually wattage, it came in at an average of 936 watts on the highest setting. It heats quickly, and fairly evenly, but by design you're going to get better results if you keep your food closer to the center; but that can work for you if you want to say, have steaks in the middle, asparagus around the edges. The griddle section is big enough for pancakes, bacon, anything that wont run. But for eggs, I'm thinking I'll get some silicone egg rings to keep the egg from running off. It's interesting that it came with four screws, so if you want the drip pan to stay in place, that's what those screws are for. As for me, I like being able to easily wash all the components separately. You may think from the description that this is tiny. It isn't. You can get four large burgers or six small ones, or probably a dozen hotdogs. Depending on age and appetites, you might be able to prep food for up to 3 or 4 people. Indoors or out, I recommend putting a couple of cups of water in the drip pan. Not only does it minimize smoke, but it will make clean up a lot easier. With a unit of this type, there is not a lot that can go wrong. And the price was a selling point too, it was discounted plus I had some points on my credit card to use. Depending on your actual needs and usages, some other grills might suit you better. But as long as you've got power and table to sit this on, I don't think anyone could be disappointed. You can grill all year round, indoor or out, and as I said, with a good power station this could be a very convenient addition to your home if you're prone to power outages. If you're on the fence, just commit. If you're in charge of cooking like me, I hope you'll find it as convenient and time saving as I do. Happy grilling! ... show more

Living in Florida, grilling in the Summer can be brutal... unless you have this baby! This electric grill is portable, easy to use, easy to clean and produces very little smoke using the water tray beneath the grill plate. The non-stick service easily wipes clean even after using sticky marinades. Whether you live in a rental situation where you cannot have an outdoor grill or you just want the convenience of grilling up a couple of steak tips or burgers ..etc, on a busy weeknight, I highly recommend this item which checks all of my boxes for indoor grilling. Heats quickly and cleans easily. Earlier reviews complaind about the unevenness of heating and that is correct. You have to turn the meat regularly..but you should do that anyway to get good grill marks. I like it.

Very disappointed. I bought this to have on hand when I travel to hotels so I can warm food in my room. I just opened the box and used twice and stopped heating. Of course the return window has passed so I'm stuck with a dead appliance.
