    • Works great! No wifi.
Overall, it works great, and feels strong. Installation was easy. I've read some of the poor reviews and can see where they went wrong. Make sure you follow the instructions and it will be fine. The one thing it needs is wifi. Without it there is no remote connectivity, no remote unlocking, and the integrated doorbell is useless. I think there is a gateway you can get for that? The app is Tuya or Smart Life (same thing). It works fine when you're in Bluetooth range. I would use the app for setup, but not rely on it for use since it is not a remote device. It did require a new hole in the door for the data cable and upper mounting screw. I used one of those cone shaped bits to drill the holes in my steel clad door, no problem. Installation was actually really easy once that was done. The fine point is you have to turn a piece inside until the dot on it points in the direction of the handle (this is because the handle is reversible) then install it. It's all in the instructions, but easy to overlook. There are screws for two door thicknesses, and the connecting square rod can be cut for thinner doors. Out of the box with no modifications it fit my standard (for the US) sized residential door. ... show more

This lock is hugely overpriced at 70 and even more at 90. The fingerprint function is borderline non functional and the app is similar. Build quality is lacking. Not really sure what they're doing here.

Sadly, everything looks great on this door lock but it didn't fit our door. We have a really old house and the door we wanted to put it on was too narrow. I'm in the process of looking for another one now. Sorry, I wish I could give you more.

I got this a few days ago. I haven't installed it. I'm still playing with it. It works. It recognizes my finger prints. I put in a password, and that works too. I haven't tried the app yet. I can see using the app to unlock the door when it is raining or when I am carrying a lot of groceries. Despite having several non-key ways to open the door, I will be keeping a key close by in a fake rock. Looks great. ... show more

I like how this has several different ways to unlock the door, which is nice to have. However, for us we couldn't use these on any of our exterior doors because the deadbolt is too close to the handle and installing this would be gettin rid of the deadbolt or relocating it. Both doors are metal as well and drilling the holes for the electrical cord to connect each side would have been more of a hassle than it was worth. While the features did seem like they worked when I tested them out, I don't have any real world answers regarding battery life, dependability, etc. ... show more
