Perfect fit for my son’s 99 Mustang GT. Very easy install. Seems to function correctly. However, it has a high pitched whine to it. Sounds like the car has a supercharger on it. Probably the bearing. Maybe it will quiet down with use, time will tell. Update: After about 100 miles of driving the bearing did wear in. It’s now as quiet as it should be. DO NOT BUY THIS ALTERNATOR. This pos part lasted less than 24 hours in the car, you can see in the picture that there is a literal 2 inch hole blown in the side of this piece of junk. It lasted 2 while driving cycles before it exploded under my hood and sent metal shrapnel everywhere. If you value your Mustang and don’t want to damage your car, BUY FORD OEM AND NOT THIS JUNK. I ordered this part on a Saturday morning and it arrived at my residence and it arrived the vety next afternoon. Alternator was exactly as described, brand new in the original box. Very pleased with the performance thus far and I can't see any reason why I wouldn't use this business again if the occasion arises.
