This isn’t a very nice-looking lamp up close. Poorly made, as these lamps go, and the shade is very small. Since we got it to serve utilitarian purposes, it’s ok. It doesn’t have to be a showpiece, and it’s not awful, just not great as I’ve come to expect from certain manufacturers like Dale Tiffany, and others of that calibre. I question whether that floor switch will last as long as the lamp. I foresee replacing the cord and switch at some point in the future, unless the lamp falls apart before then. All in all, you get what you pay for, and this is not an expensive lamp for its type. If you want an inexpensive Tiffany style dragonfly lamp, this will do, but it’s not going to win any beauty contests. The dragonfly pattern is one of my favorites when well-done. I wanted this lamp for beside my bed angled toward my pillows for reading. However when I got the lamp shade to stay in the position I wanted it keeps tipping over. I am disappointed in its instability. I love the look but it is not working well for me because of the tipping over. I have a rolled up magazine under the legs on the side the lamp is pointing towards but this is a most unsatisfactory arrangement ... show more

I absolutely love this stained glass globe!!! It's real glass and the glass has vibrant colors when the light is turned on. It was very easy to assemble...took me about 10 minutes to have it up and lit! All the parts fit well and the pole seems very strong. But......I feel the lamp is too top heavy! I won't put it on carpet because it will tip over. Even on a hard surface I'm afraid if it is touched wrong it will fall over. The way the globe hangs it is just too much weight for the stand. Maybe if the base was wider it would be more stable. I took a star off because of this. But, the globe is stunning! And, it's a great price. I would recommend as long as you know it's top heavy. ... show more

This is a beautiful lamp that just misses on a few small details. The base is heavy but isn't entirely even, and will need to be shimmed to keep it level, but that will be accomplished easily enough with a small square of cardboard. The pebbled side of the glass of the wings of the dragonflies is inexplicably on the inside of the shade, so when the lamp is lit it shows through very nicely but when it's off, the glass looks flat, it would have been so much prettier if that glass had been reversed to have that texture showing. But the colors are beautiful, particularly the bronzish-brown of the stand, assembly was simple, and having the power switch on a foot pedal is so much more convenient than having to fumble for a switch on the lamp itself, and far more aesthetically pleasing than having that visible switch hanging down in plain sight. Very much looking forward to having this light my guest room as soon as that room is clean enough to be lit. ... show more
