Every griller has their preferences. So if you like charcoal or a Kamado type, no one can argue with you. I personally like them all, but this grill strikes the best balance of value, variability of cooking styles and features of any grill I've owned. The Clearview is genuinely a great idea and feature, not a gimmick. I'm really nosey when I grill, so being able to take a peek now and then without losing the heat is an amazing feature. The sear burner for some reverse searing action is, again, an amazing feature I use every time I cook steaks. It's a must and it allows me and a thermometer to have perfectly cooked steaks to any specification a guest requests. The side burner is obviously great to warm up some sides. I'd suggest a cast iron griddle plate and then you can bang out amazing breakfasts as well. The light up knobs are indeed useful at night but if you often grill late, pick up a little clip-on light so you can see the meats well when you open the hood. Clean up is quite easy and I like the angled tray that allows you to run all of that into the tray or bucket. The only quibble I had with this grill was assembly and shipment, but that had zero to do with it's function. First, if you have big hands, trying to screw on the sear and side burner portions is a pain... Literally. The steel have sharp edges under there where you have to get your screwdriver. I lost some blood putting this thing together. Second, unfortunately, despite the packaging seemingly being very well done, the lower left front part of my grill face was dented. Again, neither of these things affected in any way the usage and general awesomeness of the grill. I doubt you can find a better bang-for-your-buck grill anywhere. Because I looked long and hard and I couldn't!

Lots of parts! Video shared in product photos is deceiving as you are putting everything together from 2 boxes not marked as to what is in either. That being said, it was easy enough to put together. Two people will be needed to put fire box on stand. Took about 2 hours. Finished product looks good! Have not fired up yet.

The box came undamaged thankfully and the packaging is just excellent. Not too complicated to put together as the illustrations are somewhat clear; the written steps not so much but easy enough nonetheless. Sturdy, great quality parts (awesome grill grates) and the lights are the icing on the cake. Side burner/sear burner both come assembled and easily slide into place and you just simply plug the wires to each other and those tricky screws underneath which I can see how some folks had trouble w those especially if you have big hands! I researched this A LOT before picking this one and there isn’t a better one for this price. Excellent buy. I will update this review after I use it though!!!

When first assembled the LED lights didn’t work; I filled out the warranty form on their website and promptly received a replacement battery box and wiring harness (free of course). No further questions asked or hassle. Everything works beautifully now!

After choosing this over a comparable but not equally priced Napoleon, the grill arrived with a damaged base and could not be assembled. I contacted support and immediately the new part was shipped out. Assembly was not easy especially attaching the sear burner and external burner. After working through this and emails making sure that I was satisfied, I have been pleased with the performance of the grill. There is no rust and I live fairly close to the coast, no cover and all is well. Those who experience rust have probably spilled something on the surface without cleaning it off. The grill gets very hot very fast, in excess of 700 degrees, not bad. For those complaining about high heat on low, just turn 1 of 2 burners off and use indirect heat. I added some accessories, a cover which I do not use, a smoke box and stainless grates which are all top notch and fast shipping. As I understand these grills are made in China to high specifications as far as material and labor. Very much higher quality than the average 2 year and throw away grill. I'm happy with this purchase and getting ready to buy one of their pellet grills.

The grill took a long time to assemble and the automatic electric starting feature never worked from day 1, despite me triple-checking the instructions, wiring, etc.. However, I could manually start it ok by pushing the starter/spark button and so I was pretty happy with it for the first year (four stars). After about six months the thermometer stop working correctly. Ok, I could get along without that, but lame (three stars). Then, one day I left it on accidentally for a couple of hours and the glass shattered. There's no way that the unit should fail like that after a few hours of heating -- or any number of hours for that matter (one star).
