    • A tale of two shoes in one

First off - these are very comfy and the sole feels like it gives you a little rebound when you walk. The soft and stretchy elastic on top feels nice and breathable and like you as slipping into a slipper. I would purchase these again because they look nice and look a little more dressier then the normal tie up sneaker. I will wear these for work and casual wear. Only 4 stars because I don't feel like I would be comfortable doing any agressive strenuous exercise in them like a brisk walking or running. While the soles would feel great for that, I feel that the elastic on top is too stretchy and would not properly hold my foot secure to the bed of the shoe for that kind of activity. I wore these on a mile walk and if it wasn't for the "sock" design I felt like I was going to walk right out for them. But I will certainly wear these more casually and for trips to the store. ... show more

I work on my feet for a living. The ladies giving these shoes 5 stars must not work in food service and run a cash register cause I don't know how these are in any way comfortable as a work shoe. I wore these for my shift today for the first time... and prompted a return as soon as I clocked out. 1. These are built like a shorter high heel with no support to speak of and oddly enough, have extra room in the toe (these are advertised as True to Fit, which means you should be able to order your normal size). Because these are arched like a heel and have a roomy toe, you will find yourself sliding forward, prompting your toe nails to push against the nail bed. I usually wear Dr. Scholls to add extra support and I needed 2 sets in each shoe *just* to stop my feet from sliding forward. The problem with this "solution" was that my toes were still being pinched even without sliding around. 2. If it's not enough that they slide your feet forward, they also leave your feet and legs aching constantly. Halfway into my shift, I felt more comfortable with my feet directly touching the floor than I felt in wearing the shoes. They're not good for walking in. They're not good for simply standing still in. They don't have a distinct design to stop and stare at, so even if you wanted to torture yourself for aesthetic, these fail at that as well. Just an overall bad shoe in every possible way. I never leave reviews - positive or otherwise - but I had to chime in to warn other essential workers that the 5 star reviews are all bunk. The people praising these shoes probably work a desk job where the most walking they do in a day is to and from the printer, coffee maker, and their computer. Avoid these if you work in retail, food service, as a CNA/LPN/RN, etc. ... show more

Update - I've dropped a star on my rating. So I got my new pair and have worn them a few times, and I will say that so far they are not as comfortable as my old pair. The foot part is fine, but this pair seems to have a stiff part on the back (I think someone referred to it as a "built-in shoe horn"), and that part bothers my feet. I think the intent is to make it easier to get the shoes on, but for me, it makes it harder to put them on. Today I wore them to work, and that stiff thing felt like it was making a blister on the back of my ankle/heel. I'm hoping that as I wear them and break them in, they will become more comfortable, but right now, the jury is out. But I also am afraid that after enough wears, that stiff part on the back will start to crack and break, then poke into the back of my foot. I truly hope I am wrong about that. I never write reviews, but thought I would on this product. I have small, but very wide feet with high arches and finding shoes to fit can be very difficult for me. I ordered these because of all the good reviews, but wasn't sure if they would work for me. When I first got them, my first reaction was how "bouncy" and cushioned they felt under my feet. They were a little bit tight at first, and I wasn't sure if they would stretch enough to be comfortable, but they did. I love them. I have had them for about 2 years, and have worn them a lot. They've helped my feet survive many long days during trips to Disneyland in the time I've had them and I've had no issues. In fact, I'm getting ready to order another pair, because the bottom insoles have pretty much worn out (and I have experienced the occasional insole pop out when taking them off, but only a few times and only recently as they've gotten more worn out). I just noticed that each shoe has developed the tiniest hole were my big toe hits because they are made of stretchy fabric, but it's not noticeable at all unless you look at it very up close. Because I've worn these so much, I think they were well worth the price. I hope they haven't changed because I'm looking forward to my new pair. I will still keep my old ones for wearing around the house, they are still comfortable and still look pretty new on the outside, it's only the insoles that really have shown the wear and tear. ... show more

I have difficulty fitting the right shoes for my feet, but I took a chance buying these online. Best investment I ever made. I work at a grooming shop and I am on my feet 8 hours a day. These have not hurt my feet at all. It is like walking on a cloud. Definitely highly recommend!!!
