I used this to try and reprogram a PCM in a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, but it is actually to fast and will not work with this unit. I look forward to using it on other projects as it is a nice piece of tech to add to my tool box.

Bought this last summer and it has already quit. Had to go through a whole deal just to make sure it was the device that failed for sure. I get through all that and think since its under the 1 year warranty, that they will let me swap it out with a new one. Nope they want me to be down for 2 months while they repair mine. When i asked about getting it replaced vs repaired since its under warranty, they ghosted me. I run a shop where i absolutly need a tuner device like this to be dependable. And yes sometimes things that are good can have a bad one here and there but they should own that and not expect me and my business to suffer a huge setback for their faulty equipment. Hopefully they step in and make it right asap.

I have a 2021 Silverado lm2 that had a P041c code. Took it to dealer. They wanted 15k for new wiring harness and new ecu. Found out through them though it was caused by a short. Ran an over lay. Installed a new ecu and used this bad boy to flash it. Worth every penny. Quality feels great. Easy to use. Did not have any problems with connection during flashing.

Good things happening with this device since Opus is running the show. Tried to get a MDS 2 for over 1 year after COVID chip shortage. I think Bosch just wouldn’t sell to non GM dealer technicians. The Mongoose Plus USB version was simple to install the driver in Windows 10 and worked instantly out of the box. I have not attempted to log onto GM to program anything yet. I feel confident with Opus tech support if I have any issues in the future.

Activator thing works fine but not sure what it activating, think it is just installing a driver. Once the driver was installed relized it did not work with dodge so no point even opening the box, probably should have downloaded the software driver activation thing first before ordering it. When going to use it, it failed to work with the car. Still better then the launch j tool, could not even get pass activation with that one, the drivers are a mess, could not find a real site with them just instructions with broken links.. Currently returning the unit, will increase or decrease stars based on the result of the return.
