I read all the reviews and do not understand the reason for some of the negative comments. We love it and works exactly as advertised, which is great! If you fully read the instructions, which are easy to follow, you will not have a problem. On the other hand using intuition to install it will not work, YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER. I recommend that you purchase the AC adapter kit which is sold separately, this way the unit works on AC as well as battery backup when the power fails. Two important points, don't forget to remove the protective tape off of the sensor after installing and nothing (including yourself) should be standing in front of the faucet when you first connect the power, otherwise it will not work properly. ... show more

3/2/20: 6 1/2 months in and faucet spray gets everywhere. In spray mode one stream goes a cockeyed direction versus the other streams. I have never wiped a countetop as much as I have to with this thing. 9/6/19. I wish I could otherwise, but Moen is sending me a replacement faucet base, the first part that rises from the countertop. This requires uninstalling the faucet, dissasembling it and then re-assembling it and reinstalling it. I'm 69 and have a lower back problem so I can't do it. I asked them who would pay the plumber and got no response. I have had Moen in my last two houses and it's always been a good experience, but not this time. I paid top price for a factory second that never should have made it into the box. I will post on other sites too. This unit has a modest number of reviews, but the Flow faucet I mention below has over 2200 (4.6) reviews on Costco and 2300" (4.6 reviews) on Home Depot 8/25/19: New out of the box it had scratches near the base. Since the new countertops were installed I needed a faucet so I had no choice but to install it. Motion sense works but will only turn on / off at full stream flow. Splashes everywhere, way over-priced. This review almost didn't happen, as the incompetent weekend contractors for the post office that do the Sunday parcel runs, mostly for Amazon Prime deliveries, saw fit to leave my package elsewhere. Once that was straightened out, I was impressed with the both the aesthetics and the construction of this faucet. Installing a kitchen faucet isn't exactly rocket science anyway, but the instructions were pretty straightforward and I had this thing done in about 30 minutes, not counting the time it took me to clean the stuff out from under the kitchen sink. No leaks right off the bat and it is so large that it draws your attention when you come into the kitchen. The sprayer works fine, it retracts into the faucet body by means of a grenade-sized counterweight that fits around the sprayer hose. You'll need your own white plumber's teflon tape, as none is supplied by Moen. I gave it 4 stars due to the cost. It's not 4 times the size of a standard kitchen faucet; it doesn't need to cost 4 times as much. I chose this model to step up the appeal of our house when we put it on the market. I will update if the faucet was the deciding factor for the prospective buyer. ... show more

Starting with the good. The voice control is pretty cool, and being able to automatically dispense a given amount is cool. Now the problems: First and most disappointing there is very little flow adjustment, when you turn it on it goes from off to almost full pressure. This made it impossible to spray off dishes without getting me soaked and splashing all over. Second there are too few temperature options for turning on with the motion sensor. You cat set it for coldest temp, hottest temp equal mix, or handle position. Sounds fine but here is what I found; for the motion sensor I want that primarily for quickly washing hands. I definitely don’t want cold, hot is too hot, and the equal mix is still too cold. Having to turn the handle to the desired position prior to using the motion sensor kind of defeats the purpose. I really wanted to like this faucet, I really wanted the voice control, and I love the measures dispensing, but no feature makes up for getting soaked every time I wash a dish because I can’t turn the pressure down. ... show more

For the life of me, I cannot understand the negative reviews. I have had this faucet for a couple weeks now and use it daily. I have seen nothing but perfection as advertised. The one and only complaint that I could legitimately make if I HAD to make one was that if the faucet is faced squarely to a light, whenever you turn that overhead light on, the faucet will register it and turn on itself. Faucet head is pretty cheap for the price and after having this for just over a month and turning off the sensor for cleaning, the water just started running on its own. Had to turn off water to faucet to get it to stop. Then turned water back on and it stopped! Turned it on again and the same thing happened. Since it's over a month, I can't return it and now I'm waiting to hear back from Moen to see what they are going to tell me. What a drag... ... show more
