I love Dutch Ovens/large pots. I like their versatility and usefulness. I have cast iron, cast aluminum and anodized aluminum versions. I like all of them. Usually I prefer 5-9 quarts even though I many not use the entire pot for a particular recipe . I have been using this particular Misen unit for over a year now and it has been great. At 6 quarts it is one of my "go to" pots and thus is used frequently. The nonstick is very good with no problems and I like the "gasket" on the glass lid. I absolutely am thrilled with this purchase! I was considering purchasing a similar name brand pot that was about $200 and decided to take a chance on this one. This is one HEAVY DUTY large pot. Very heavy base that I don’t need to fear it warping with a lot of use. Having a large family, I use this 3-4 times a week. The lid is interesting, as it has an almost rubber like seal to it. The Chinese certainly make a quality pan, this is an example of that quality. The only thing about it is it seem unnecessary heavy and clunky, a little graceless. The mass of it work well while cooking, I just think there not a lots of artful design. Hard to explain, just heavy and slightly awkward. The silicone seal on the lids seems like it could be a point of failure, but so far it survives heats just fine. ... show more

Handles get hot. Nice lid, keeps food warmer longer. Be sure to wash wish dawn really good. Then coat the pan with grape seed or canola oil. Let oil rest for one day before using. This is how you season a non stick pan. Season your pan every three to six months. This will keep your food from sticking to your pan. DO NOT season your non stick pan like you would a cast iron or cold steel pan!!! ... show more
