    • Weather resistant, and move a good amount of air in high speed
I bought 2 of these for the back porch and they were a lifesaver. They move quite a bit of air. They aren't very loud, and they were pretty simple to install. They have been pretty resistant to the many types of south Texas weather.

I needed to replace a porch fan to get more air flow. This Minka-Aire fan is awesome! Highly recommend!

    • Moves a lot of air
With eight blades, the Minka fan is some work to install, although it's not difficult work. I was impressed that the fan literally doesn't move or wobble at all, even at the highest speed. I installed mine with a two foot down rod, and even at the lowest speed it moves a lot of air. Was the perfect fan to add to the shop area in my garage. It's only been installed for about a month, but the remote works great too. I just hope I don't run into the wireless issues some of these controllers develop!! ... show more

Updated review: Unacceptable. Downgrading from five stars to one star. The bearings annoyingly rattle at most speeds. If you run it very slowly on levels 1-2, the bearings don't rattle. If you run it on levels 3-6, the bearings rattle every 20 seconds. Very disappointed with this fan. I will try letting it run for a few weeks to see if the rattle goes away. Original Review: I had an electrician install this fan, but first I pulled it out of the box to make sure everything was there. No missing pieces or hardware. I installed the blades just to make the job easier. Installation took the electrician about a half hour and he charged $150. The fan works great. We love the way it looks and it's very quiet. The remote works well and is simple to operate. We have no complaints so far, but I will update this review should I run into any issues. The electrician also advised me to save the box for six months just in case there were any major problems. We will do that. ... show more

    • Replacing outdoor Fan
The fan and light look and work great. The light is very bright especially compared to the previous one on my old fan. I had to replace the last fan in my outdoor kitchen due to electrical spike from a storm. I went back to the Minka-Aire which I had before.
