The media could not be loaded. Ok, my husband installs my fans and this is at least Minka fan #5 that he has installed. They can be tricky with the fan blade order and the codes for programming so I won't comment on that. I would guess this is not the easiest fan to install for the average skilled person. I have installed ceiling fans myself that were much simpler without a problem. Recommend referring to DIY videos for tips. So, I love Minka fans- I love the styling and features. The wall plate and remote control are superb both nice looking and easy to use. The fan kit even comes with different color face plates-very well thought out and considerate for the end user! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I'm a fan of this fan. I love it so much that I bought one for my kitchen and a second one for my dining room. It's so quiet and super modern looking. I never thought a fan with only 3 blades could put out so much air. And the blades are plastic so they are much easier to clean than painted wood. Also it is super white so it matches great with my white ceiling. We got the unit with the in wall control and exclusively use that rather than the hand held remote. ... show more

I had to return my initial ceiling fan because the ligt fixture was damaged. The return went well and I received another fan. I had it professionally installed and it work for 31 days with no issue. Now the light will not come on and the fan speed does not change using the remote. I can turn it off and on using the wall switch only. This means I have a light that I cannot turn on and off and a fan that operates on one speed only. Not pleased and would like to have another remote control or any other alternative to resolve my isssue. Hopefully the vendor will try to make it right for me. WIth all this, the ceiling fan is great looking and I receive numerous compliments. Update: I was contacted by the seller and provided the number to Mink Aire for support. I called and the resolved my issue over the phone in less than 5 minutes. I am changing my previous rating from 3 to 5 across the board. I am super happy with the ability to use my fan light and to change the speed. The seller is amazing and the Minka Aire tech support is amazing! Highly recommend both. ... show more

The Minka-Aire F844-WH Light Wave 52" Ceiling Fan is the 3rd Minka Fan that I have purchased. The one I replaced started to change speeds on its' own. Time to replace the 1st Minka fan. I installed the new fan in our bedroom. A different Minka model is in the bedroom with a common wall. I was carefully in setting up the remote of the new fan so as not to interfere with the old fan. All was fine until recently - now, each fan changes speeds - on there own. The new fan sounds like it needs an oil change. I bought a different make / model for my TV room and an outside fan for my outside patio for half the price. Both have worked flawlessly. Caveat Emptor ..... ... show more

These Minka Aire fans look sleek and modern. We have 3 of them. One of them has had an occasional problem loosing connection between the wall controller/remote and fan, but resetting it on 2 occasions fixed the issue and it has been working great since then. They are probably not the most powerful but very adequate for our needs in SoCal summers without AC. ... show more

So before I start this review I want to warn all that this ceiling fans body shell is made of abs plastic. That did not bother me at all because it makes it light weight and no one is ever going to get on a step ladder to touch and feel it. I installed it in my bedroom because of the downward light beam. My bedroom also has night stand lighting. However if you have a high ceiling this will work well. The fan puts out a good breeze on lowest setting. On high setting the fan is a super cooler. I posted it on Facebook and everyone thinks its the coolest looking ceiling fan ever. MinkAire makes a great quality product and it shows. One suggestion on the installation: make sure that you do not tighten all of the fan screw until the blades are all installed and in place. The way that the blades install is by overlapping each other which is necessary in order to get that retracting wing look. Other than that The install was very clean and quick. I didn't even follow the instructions so that shows you how easy the install is. The one I purchased came with the wall outlet switch and the remote. That works great for us when we enter the room or when laying down in bed. I love it and am very happy with this purchase. ... show more
