Two fans have been installed for about a week. They both operate very well and move the air with only the three blades. They are very compact and have a sleek, modern look. The remote is easy to operate the three speeds and there is no noise of the fan motor and just a slight rustling of the air movement on the highest speed. They were mounted on ceiling outlets with manual wall switches in about 30 minutes apiece from opening the box to turning on the fan. So far we are very satisfied. ... show more

I had this installed in my living room, which has high a (12') ceiling. I needed to get the heat off the ceiling in the winter. I dislike the look of a ceiling fan... just don't like them. So I wanted something that was graceful-looking, quiet, and effective. This fan ticks all the boxes! It is very quiet, moves the air beautifully even on low setting, was perfectly balanced right out of the box, and is visually a beautiful piece of work. I did have to order a longer downrod (Minka-Aire 12 Inch Ceiling Fan Downrod - White - DR512-44 ) and a sloped ceiling kit. Also, I wanted the flat white finish, but that was out of stock. So I got the glossy white finish, and dulled it down with some steel wool. I'm super happy with this purchase! (Minka-Aire 45 Degree Slope Ceiling Adapter Kit - Flat White - A245-WHF). ... show more

I have purchased three of these fans in the last two years and would give the other two a five star rating. This one however was missing parts and when installed, simply did not work. Apparently I am not the first person to have an issue with this fan because it had been repackaged. I know this because of two layers of tape on the box, wires were cut shorter than the new fans have, missing parts, and the way the parts were arranged inside the box. I don't know if this was done by Amazon or if the manufacturer did it, but I hope it doesn't get repackaged again for another victim. My other two fans work great, are well balanced and I think they are beautiful. ... show more

UPDATE: Seller is sending replacement remote/sensor (this was not a Seller problem but a manufacturer problem). DISLIKE - Remote/Sensor does NOT seem to work! I tried replacing the battery with a new one, and I tried changing its frequency (followed instructions in manual) four times, and the fan would not start. I took the remote/sensor out of the installation, and changed out my on/off wall switch to an on/off wall switch w/slider dimmer (per seeing that others had stated this fan can run off them). UPDATE - For safety and to make sure the motor isn't damaged, I replaced the wall dimmer switch with a ceiling fan switch designed for 3-speed fans having no light (Lutron/Hampton Bay model 750 450 available at Home Depot for $12.97). Fan works great!!! LIKE - Style of fan, its 3 blades move ALOT of air, NO wobble (and my install was on a slanted ceiling), is quiet (but I noticed, in my case, this was wall switch dependent, hum with dimmer switch no hum with wall switch designed for 3-speed ceiling fan). Its on an enclosed porch. This model is the one with no light (which is what I wanted). I've installed many ceiling fans (Hunter, Harbor Breeze, Middleton), this is the first one I've experienced a problem with. ... show more
