When I purchased and received this mini projector , it was not working out of the box . The lights were not coming on . I tried other AC outlets at my home and the lights were still not coming on. After my review of this product was read by the company , I was sent a brand new mini projector. I am pleased to say that the new projector is working fine. The media could not be loaded. I'll admit I'm no expert in technology but I think the quality is great. My cat was certainly convinced. The only issue I've run into is some streaming services block it from projecting. Not sure how to solve that but it might just be a streaming service thing not a product thing. ... show more

    • Great little projector!
We recently purchased a Model HI-04 Digital Mini Projector from Dr.J Professional. As a matter of background, we had been using a Dr.J Model AK-30 Full Size Digital Projector for general “Theater” usage. We have been pleased with performance of this full-size projector, and offer the following thoughts on Dr.J’s Mini Model: It’s small size allows more options for discrete in-home mounting opportunities. Also, it is more convenient to use for business and travel purposes. It’s small size is easy to pack. While in a smaller package, video quality is superior to our current full-size projector in terms of brightness, color, and clarity. Our typical placement is 10’ from the screen. At this distance, it provides a crisp 8’ X 4’ image (Approx.). Set-up instructions are simple. If you have a Smart Phone or TV, you will be quickly up and running. The only downside is in over-all audio performance. The small speaker sounds tinny and it detracts from a theater-like experience. We connected our mini projector to an inexpensive Dell computer speaker system, and sound was greatly improved. Audio performance of the basic unit should not be an issue if you plan to use this mini-projector for Power-Point type presentations and the like. Overall, I’d rate the Dr.J HI-40 Mini Projector as a recommended “Buy” for the money. ... show more

    • Decent image for the price. Cheap and Fun.
The image is not gonna impress your friends but, at $60, you knew that. The picture quality is decent. it gets the job done. You really need a dark room or dark night if outside. U cant beat it for the price. The speakers are like cellphone speakers. I connected some $20 computer speakers and boom, problem fixed. I watch sports. Kids watch cartoons. Its light and fun. Update: Seller took care of the issue. This product wouldn’t adjust but 1/7 the movement it was supposed to have. Waited too long to return as we wanted to use it for Halloween and it wasn’t setup until recently. Had a super small window of focus so can only have it about 6 feet away from what you are projecting. No way to grow or shrink the size. ... show more

    • Compact, light, and a great value
I own a larger projector model from this same manufacturer for over a year and it has served me well. Therefore, I had no hesitation in buying from this company again when I was in the market for a smaller and more portable projector. And this model is much smaller and lighter. Despite that the performance is just as impressive. The package includes both RCA and HDMI cables, a remote, a cleaning kit, and a screen. The only thing you will need are two AAA batteries for the remote. It was easy to setup. Just plug it into the laptop, turn it on, and adjust the focus. The picture was remarkable for such a small and economical device. Even when I projected it on the wall next to a window the picture was acceptable (see pictures). And in the dark it was outstanding. It also has a built in speaker which is helpful since the laptop speaker is not all that powerful. Overall, this is a very nice projector at a very good price. I can see it being useful for demonstrations and presentations. In fact, I plan to bring it on my next road trip and use it to watch streamed movies. That will be much better than sitting in the hotel and squinting at the screen of my laptop. ... show more

100 inch screen size at 9 foot distance. Good price. HDMI, usb, vga, memory card inputs. A little blurry on the edges. If you’re looking for a super HD image this is not for you
