I have a couple of specific use cases for this mini chainsaw, and have only had it for about 4 months, so I haven't had a chance to give it a long-term review, but so far, it's great. At home, I use it to trim branches on established trees, and it does a great job there. I even used it to cut down a moderately-sized tree that admittedly would have been quicker if I had a high-powered full-size chainsaw, but I don't need a large chainsaw, so this mini filled that role admirably. My other use case is for when we go camping and want to cut down fallen, dead limbs into campfire-sized pieces. As a mini chainsaw, it doesn't take up much room with our camping gear, and it makes short work of the 2"-6" sized logs we would use in the campfire. The very reason I purchased this mini chainsaw is that it works with DeWalt batteries. I have three different sizes of DeWalt batteries: 2, 4, and 9 amp-hour. The light 2Ah battery is perfect for camping. It would last long enough to cut firewood logs and branches for the entire camping trip. The 4Ah would more than handle pretty heavy-duty use around the yard, and the 9Ah is simply more than necessary. With the 2Ah or 4Ah batteries, the total weight of this mini chainsaw is light enough that I don't get tired holding it during extended use. Should anything change over the long term, I'll update this review, but as of now, I'm very satisfied.

Possibly the finest productivity tool I have ever owned. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I have a large amount of tree covered landscape to maintain and I used to do this with awkward arm powered loppers requiring both arms and a lot of physical effort. For larger branches I was relegated to my heavy two handed chainsaw. This tool has cut my effort to a fraction. Unlike a normal chainsaw, I can use this tool safely while up an extension ladder. It has given me an extended reach not possible before to prune branches not possible previously. It has excellent power and I have cut 4 inch diameter branches quickly. The ergonomics are excellent. The only feature missing is an additional safely interlock button on the opposite side for left handed operation. This tool would be a bargain at twice the price. Two bar lengths and a two chains for each is a bonus. Perfect tool for me having numerous DeWalt tools and batteries of all sizes. I am not a big strong person at 130 pounds and I find this tool to be very lightweight for use by someone of any size. Since this is a one handed chainsaw, I take safely extra seriously and stay aware of where my left arm and hand are at all times, and I don't get in a hurry. Even my several expensive DeWalt tools don't have a battery level indicator.

I’m really impressed at how well the unit cuts. It is comfortable to hold. I’ve not had it long, so time will tell if the unit lasts and the chain holds its edge. If bd happens, I’ll review my rating. The reason for a lost star is because the opening to the oil reservoir is so small that getting oil into the unit requires a VERY small funnel and is quite messy, and it’s very difficult to see how much oil is in the chainsaw in the very narrow window provided. Actually, I can’t tell at all!

Very functional and does work with my Dewalt batteries. Came with some extras including 4 chains and 2 bars. Worth noting that you will need a tiny funnel or something to put oil in it. It doesn't take much chain oil at all. You could just improvise, but basically the hole for the oil is very small. They provided a bottle which does not seem to be useful for adding oil (which it didn't come with nor did I expect it to). Don't run any chain saw without bar oil btw :) It cuts better than I hoped. Will be extremely useful for cutting up pieces that are too big for the loppers but not worth grabbing a large chainsaw.

I couldn't ask for a better deal! This saw Runs great, has plenty of power for any type of wood, And the automatic oiler on it works beautifully. I use a homemade 20 volt lithium ion battery pack that is 6 ampers for 6000 milliamp hours and I can cut pretty much or D limb 840 foot tall pine tree with this one saw! It's perfect for my log furniture projects Or just for use around the yard! I phoned four other miniature battery operated saws and this is by far the best one! The chain doesn't go dull easily, the bar doesn't wear out thanks to the automatic oiler and it comes with two bars and 6 and 8 inch chains, this is a perfect deal I encourage others to buy this item. I bought this based on some good and through reviews for use as a pruning saw and to control invasive bush honeysuckle. With the small size of honeysuckle stems, using my 18" gas saw is overpowered and tiring. I got the saw today and tried it on some pruning, including oak limbs. It performed flawlessly. My DeWalt batteries fit perfectly. The power gauge is very nice. Setting the chain tension is simple. The saw is lightweight and easy to use even from a ladder. I ordered a second so we can kill invasive shrubs even faster.

This mini chainsaw is excellent for an inexpensive alternative for cutting smaller branches without bringing out the bigger saw or using a hand saw. It works just fine with the Dewalt 20v Max Battery I already own. It's also comes with two different chain bars, (6" and 8"), with a spare chain for each.

I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect when I ordered this saw, but it was exactly what the description said it would be! I wanted a small saw to keep on my side by side for keeping trails open and using around the farm, and this thing is just what I was looking for! Seems well built, cuts very well with the supplied chain AND uses the batteries I already have! Can’t say anything about the durability yet, but time will tell.
