It’s small but mighty. My husband has multiple chain saws including a battery pole saw so I thought this would be perfect for some smaller jobs around his work site. What’s even better is I can use it without the scariness of a gas powered one. It’s quite powerful for a battery powered saw. It feels durable and cuts really well. I don’t like that it didn’t come with the battery’s or charger but luckily we have other Milwaukee power tools. It isn’t super heavy which is a plus for me. Might get one for my brother for Christmas.

This little saw is useful for cutting small limbs & larger Woody vines. It seems to function well enough, but assembly is made very difficult due to the chain adjuster coming apart. The screw that is used to hold the little gearbox cover on is no where near the correct size for the hole it is threading into, which let's the whole assembly fall out. Once I got mine back in place I used some CA glue to hold everything together. Hopefully this will hold, if not I will have to explore other avenues of repair. That one component gave me so much trouble & had to be glued is the reason for the 3 stars. If the company could fix that one engineering issue, I would change it to a 5 star. Update: Not long after writing this review the company contacted me concerning my issues & offered to send me a new saw for my troubles, & stated that they had sent the issue to their technical department for review & possible corrective action. I declined their offer, but can definitely say that they are dedicated to making the customer happy at all cost!

The media could not be loaded. I’m disappointed in this saw! I know this isn’t a Dewalt product but I had reasonably high expectations. I’ve tested quite a few of these small electric chainsaws and this one is in the bottom half. I like this style. It’s more chainsaw like and I like that it uses DeWalt batteries, I have several DeWalt, and other, tools that use the DeWalt batteries. That’s the end of the things I like. This saw feels like, and reminds me of, the non-functioning toy chainsaw I bought my son when he was young. Except this one isn’t a toy! The cut is slow but that’s most likely the chains they sent with it. I’ll try another brand’s chain but even if it improves the cut it won’t change my opinion. Oh, the chain oiler works great. It’s the best I’ve seen. I can’t recommend this one.

This was a great purchase. I live beside a mountain & we often have to saw random branches to keep from hitting our home etc. This made it so easy and fast. It’s made heavy, yet not too heavy. Definitely durable. Functions as should. Great value. The fact that it came with absolutely everything needed really is fantastic. Gloves. Goggles. Extra chains. Oil. Etc. This is a great one and would make a great gift.

The chain seems to be well made and it does come with a spare. Handle fits perfectly in the hand. I would say it's easy to maneuver with one hand although 2 hands would be safest. Tightening and loosening the chain is as easy as turning a knob. I did end up getting a 7amp battery for it. I have tested it on a tree, and some wood cuts. With patience and the proper easing into it, it cuts very smooth. The battery life will depend on the amps of the battery you use. The battery we had was not a DeWalt but a non-branded version of it. The design is nice and compact.

I love the size of this little saw. I was looking for a way to trim my fruit trees in the orchid and this little one is perfect for the job. The only con I have is that I didn't realize it doesn't come with a battery and charger so that's on me but overall I love it and would definitely recommend it for smaller jobs.
