  • Awesome features, good glass. Perhaps best in its class.
First scope I received failed in the first outing. I was a bit harsh and may have overreacted to CVLIFE. The company ended up replacing the failed scope for another chance. Couple things... -This scope is a great value. -It has lots of zoom. -It can be adjusted for short range shooting on an air rifle. -Adjustments are crisp and accurate. Testing in a vice the reticle returned to zero and stayed true during zoom & parallax adjustments. (This is a big +) -Pup up turrets are lockable and resettable which is awesome! Few things that make this value somewhat questionable. -Parallax adjustment yard markings are not accurate especially at higher distances. I believe that is a lot of ask for such a value minded scope. Perhaps one could make their own markings if needed. -Included mount is not good. You can see in the photos that there is a big gap between the rail and mount. This causes shifts and accuracy loss. Again, for the price... I get it. You can spend more than the cost of this scope on just scope rings. Please note that I would not put this scope on a break barrel rifle as that is what caused the first one to fail. I did extensive testing on this scope as I believe the CVLIFE brand deserved it. I put close to 100 shots through this scope with my Barra 22 cal PCP before writing this review. I tested the scope side by side the UGT Leapers 3-12x44 scope which I believe is comparable optic. I am going to keep this scope on my Barra as I think it's a great match. If range finding is a priority for air rifles and this scope is good enough inside of ~70 yards. ... show more

  • Focus failed 2nd shooting day
It did not withstand the abuse recoil that the Gamo Magnum gave it. The focus will quit working the second day I shot it which is really about 30 shots fired no more Focus unfortunately had to return it otherwise was pretty nice stuff

  • a lot of scope for not much money
Just received my new CVLIFE scope and I am truly satisfied by the quality of the finish & function across the board. The glass is very high end probably Japanese not Chinese [many big name scopes have Japanese glass so assembled in USA might be more accurate] clear from side to side & from lowest to highest power. The side mounted AO is far superior to the front mounted type and shares the left hand turret with the red/green illumination selector /rheostat,, the 2 controls have distinctly different adjusters so there is no need to come "off the gun" to make changes , operation is smooth throughout the full range. The elevation & windage turrets are equally smooth in operation , clicks felt positive, factory set at 0 &0 you will need a small allen wrench to reset your own true 0 after some range work. Eye relief is better than good ,better than that of SOME "high end" scopes, and a must have for anyone who shoots big bore rifles. I've read that some reviewers view the illuminated reticles as a useless gimmick , that has not been my experience, used properly they can be a big plus but you have to put in the time to learn how and when to use them, case in point I own 2 "designated marksman " scopes both illuminated, the USMC uses illuminated scopes on their designated marksman M27,and for me ,at least that ends the discussion. .Some say they experience "a green blurry ring" and blame the illumination , in a poorly made or defective scope that may very well be the case but user error is often to blame. Dirty / dusty lenses , failure to obtain a proper sight picture, ie.if the shooters eye is not lined up on the crosshairs ,an improperly mounted scope, looking into a strong light source without a sunshade or wafer type ARD , and the most common problem is the shooter is not comfortable behind the gun , no scope in the world not a Schmidt & Bender , not a Kahles/Swarovski can make up for a gun that doesn't fit the shooter or lack of proper technique ,ie cheek weld ,repeatability etc. I am a bit of a "ring snob" but these LOOK fairly good ,more MilSpec than most , but i'll reserve judgment until I test them with my Wheeler Fat Wrench ,and if they are high or low enough in relation to the barrel . Dont touch the barrel & don't go so high you lose your cheek weld . Scopes do not GATHER light they transmit light ,the amount of light transmission depends on many variables , the quality of the lenses , the size of the objective lens and the tube and the various coatings etc., for me this scope checks all the boxes. I live on a fairly large lake 600+acres ,on an overcast day, after adjustments,. I was able to see clearly all the way over to the other side Lastly this scope is NOT the old reliable 4x Weaver on my 30 /30 Marlin it has multiple adjustments that either all work together or not at all , learn how to use it, and PLEASE get someone truly competent to mount it for you . I will be mounting this scope on a 338 Win Mag and try to kick it to death out to 300 yards, if it fails i'll let you know ... show more

  • It works!
For its price, it's well worth it for a low end scope.
