    • Lightweight, easy to use
Overall I like this product. I purchased it to use to clear out some small junk trees growing in my yard. Most had a less than 3 inch diameter. I was a little skeptical at first due to it's smaller, lightweight size. This cut through them easily. I did have some thicker trees and while I was able to cut through them I did encounter some issues. The chain slipped multiple times. I was probably exceeding it's recommended capabilites so I can't fault the product. It was an easy fix to take the blade cover off and fix the chain so it was not a big deal. I did oil it a few times during use. After using it I did clean it and oil the chain before putting it away. To oil it you just put vegetable oil in the little bottle that it comes with and apply it to the chain. The battery it comes with lasts a pretty good while. I think the longevity of the battery depends on the thicknesses of whatever you are cutting.     • Dazed and confused manual, but nice saw
I just got this and was excited to use. But then almost packed it up to return. The instruction manual doesn't match the tool and I wondered how I would charge it. Once I realized one should never start with reading the manual I figured out how to charge the battery. One example is the manual said press the red lever to detach ite battery but that lever is green. Also, looking at the manual it appears that the charging cord should be inserted in the tool. Thar didn't make sense, and that was not how it went. Now I have a lot of tools and have never seen anything like it. I will use it tomorrow and if all goes well I'll add a star. Goes to show you use common sense, not the user manual. Although the rest of the info re care and use is fine. I'm amending this to report that I have used it and it does a good job. I had to cut down an old rose bush with stems over an inch thick and then after cut needed to cut up for disposal. This did a great job for that, with very little effort. It certainly is better for small jobs than those larger ones. Especially for older folks like me. So efficient I only got one thorn prick. Btw, after first review I got a note from seller offering a refund. I appreciated that but not needed because it works just fine and the price was more than fair. ... show more

Just got this mini chainsaw, and for a pretty good price. I did try it and it did well. *I was also the guy asking about extra batteries. Seems this manufacturer doesn’t tell you about it or make one available. So, sometimes you just gotta dig for yourself, and I think the one that fits the O-Conn mini saw seems to look pretty much like the right one. Amazon even sells an extra. It really looks like it will work telling by the male fitting of the battery. This little saw holds a lot of power and is ready to go right out of packaging! Very impressed with the quality! The price was amazing. I have nothing bad to say about this product. It cuts like butter and cuts through big logs! Very easy to use. The chain did come off track but super easy to put back on. When you put the chain back on you have to loosen the screw. Do not have it tight when you’re trying to put it back on. Once you have it back on and in place and everything else back on then you tighten the screw back and a little knob! Super easy!
