Extremely powerful machine, and for the current sale price is a great value imo. I upgraded from a knockoff single frequency detector after several frustrating hunts. The xterra elite is highly accurate, lightweight, and, with a slight learning curve, easy to use. I literally found dozens of more interesting things with the elite right away, just in my own backyard. It also finds the trash more easily too, but with much more accurate vdi and audio tones, I can make more confident dig or no dig decisions. I attached images of some of my first finds with it.

The box was a little rough. Looks like it had been shipped a couple of times without an outer protective box. Had an old shipping label on the factory box. The detector itself was in good shape and new condition. So far it's working great. Easy to set up and use. Beats all of my older detectors. I have been detecting for over 10 years and have used several different brands. I would recommend this one.

My go to detector!!! It is the same as the Equinox series just fewer adjustments. The adjustments you do get are the most important!!! It detects deep and you can use the Equinox coils !!! Best value for the money!!!

Great detector for the price, and a boon to inexperienced folks willing to put a little time into the learning process! Much easier to master than most more expensive detectors. Be aware, however, that there is a LEARNING CURVE for metal detectors, even this relatively uncomplicated one. DO NOT expect to find lots of coins, relics, etc., without becoming thorougly familiar with the settings and practicing. Experienced hobbiests can find all kinds of stuff and discriminate unwanted items, FAR better than newbies, regardless of the machine. Also, note that common detecting sites like parks and beaches are already picked over. Experienced folks can often find good stuff that others have missed, but those of us who--like me--are less experienced are often disappointed.

This mine lab Xterra elite metal detector is absolutely the best unit based on price and performance. I’ve been using it for two weeks and found a variety of objects, some good and some junk. The depth of these objects were anywhere between the surface and down to 12 to 14 inches. I highly recommend this metal detector for the price and the performance you get. I don’t think anybody can match it..
