Excellent Metal Detector For the Price
Style: Elite Detector Only
I picked this up looking for a **step-up detector that could handle everything—land, beach, and water—and the X-Terra Elite definitely feels like a serious piece of equipment right out of the box. 👍 What I liked: All-terrain performance – This thing works just about anywhere. Parks, fields, and even wet sand or shallow water—it handles it without needing constant adjustments. Fully waterproof build – Rated for full submersion up to about 16 ft, so you’re not worried about rain, mud, or even wading into water Very accurate targeting – The multi-frequency tech helps pick up coins, jewelry, and smaller targets without constantly switching settings Great target ID system – The numeric ID and tones make it easier to tell trash from something worth digging Beginner-friendly but pro capable – Easy to start using, but has enough settings to grow into 🖐️ Build quality & feel: The detector feels lightweight but solid (around 2.9 lbs), and the shaft adjusts easily for different heights . The grip is comfortable for longer hunts, and the controls are laid out in a way that makes sense after a short learning curve. The coil glides smoothly over the ground, and the machine feels balanced—not front-heavy like some cheaper detectors. ⚙️ Features that stand out: Multi-IQ multi-frequency tech – Runs multiple frequencies at once, so you don’t have to constantly change settings for different targets Iron control & discrimination – Helps filter out junk like nails while still catching good targets Multiple search modes – Pre-sets for park, field, and beach make it easy to switch environments Audio control – Different tone options and volume levels help you fine-tune how targets sound 👎 What I didn’t love: Learning curve if you’re new – It’s easy to start, but mastering all the settings takes time Not the absolute deepest detector – It’s very good, but high-end models still go deeper Price point – It’s not cheap, but you are getting pro-level features ⚖️ Overall: The Minelab X-Terra Elite is a serious all-around metal detector that balances performance, durability, and usability really well. It’s ideal if you want something that can handle multiple terrains, water use, and more advanced detecting without jumping into ultra-expensive machines. Rating: 4.6 / 5 💡 Quick take Best for: All-around detecting (land + beach + water) Skill level: Beginner → Advanced Strength: Versatility + accuracy Weakness: Takes time to fully master

Xterra elite; superb machine
Style: Elite Detector Only
Extremely powerful machine, and for the current sale price is a great value imo. I upgraded from a knockoff single frequency detector after several frustrating hunts. The xterra elite is highly accurate, lightweight, and, with a slight learning curve, easy to use. I literally found dozens of more interesting things with the elite right away, just in my own backyard. It also finds the trash more easily too, but with much more accurate vdi and audio tones, I can make more confident dig or no dig decisions. I attached images of some of my first finds with it.

Lightweight and easy to use detector
Style: Elite Detector Only
The box was a little rough. Looks like it had been shipped a couple of times without an outer protective box. Had an old shipping label on the factory box. The detector itself was in good shape and new condition. So far it's working great. Easy to set up and use. Beats all of my older detectors. I have been detecting for over 10 years and have used several different brands. I would recommend this one.

Minelab X terra Elite
Style: Elite Detector Only
My go to detector!!! It is the same as the Equinox series just fewer adjustments. The adjustments you do get are the most important!!! It detects deep and you can use the Equinox coils !!! Best value for the money!!!

Great Detector, Relatively Simple, but Learn it and PRACTICE.
Style: Elite Detector Only
Great detector for the price, and a boon to inexperienced folks willing to put a little time into the learning process! Much easier to master than most more expensive detectors. Be aware, however, that there is a LEARNING CURVE for metal detectors, even this relatively uncomplicated one. DO NOT expect to find lots of coins, relics, etc., without becoming thorougly familiar with the settings and practicing. Experienced hobbiests can find all kinds of stuff and discriminate unwanted items, FAR better than newbies, regardless of the machine. Also, note that common detecting sites like parks and beaches are already picked over. Experienced folks can often find good stuff that others have missed, but those of us who--like me--are less experienced are often disappointed.

Best performing metal detector for the price and exceeds all expectations.
Style: Elite Detector Only
This mine lab Xterra elite metal detector is absolutely the best unit based on price and performance. I’ve been using it for two weeks and found a variety of objects, some good and some junk. The depth of these objects were anywhere between the surface and down to 12 to 14 inches. I highly recommend this metal detector for the price and the performance you get. I don’t think anybody can match it..
