    • Lasted two months! Customer Service awful!

My 9 year old son saved for a year to buy his own hoverboard and Hover 1 has been nothing but problems. The first hoverboard we bought in October would not charge. Amazon sent us a replacement. That replacement was great for two months and now no longer works. All of a sudden one wheel refuses to work. You cannot reach any human at Hover 1. So incredibly frustrating. We have been all over their website, watched you tube videos on how to recalibrate the board - nothing works. The app diagnostics shows a bad sensor which their website refers to as needing a new motherboard. The only way to reach Hover 1 is to submit a “help ticket.” I have submitted three in the last week and a half and gotten zero response. I have included the Amazon receipt, the diagnostic report from the app - and heard crickets. My son is crushed. I am more than disappointed and expect better from this company. The board was great for two months - amazing lights and blue tooth feature ……but we expect it to last for years not two months. Super frustrating and quite unacceptable. ... show more

This hoverboard is exactly what my daughter asked for on her Christmas list! The Galaxy print on the exterior of the hoverboard is vibrant and beautiful. The lights are colorful and fun. The Bluetooth speakers are astonishingly good and really blew my expectations out of the water. It holds a charge well and lasts most of the day. This little thing is also pretty quick! A downfall is the charger can be difficult to plug in. You have to align it exactly right in order for it to work. ... show more

So, I have to say, I never write reviews, but after purchasing two of these I felt I needed to. Yes, you read that right, I received TWO! So, I ordered one for my grandson for Christmas. He already knew what it was so we gave it to him early. I am glad that we did because he opened it and it wouldn't work. We thought maybe it needed to be charged so that's what we did. It still didn't turn on. We decided to return it and chose to exchange it for the more expensive one. We had the exact same problem! Are you kidding me? Was this some sick joke? I get two different Hover-1's and neither one works? My grandson cried so hard. It literally borke my heart because it broke his. You cannot explain something to a child that you dont understand yourself. If could give Hover-1 a negative star I would. I am that angry! So, after being burned twice we had to make a decision: do we exchange it again or do we wait weeks on a refund and buy another one? We decided enough is enough and chose to return it for a refund. Two days later we decided to go to Walmart and buy him one. We purchased a GoTrax Edge. It is AWESOME! My grandson opened it and right out of the box started riding it! He has rode it for about two weeks on no charge at all! It has literally blew my mind! I know how electronics are, things can happen during production, during shipping, etc. but there were two of these that didn't work! The boxes came in tact, no damage during shipping whatsoever. Both hoverboards looked perfect out of the box, so I have no idea why they wouldn't turn on or even charge. I will never again purchase a Hover-1 product. Period. My title for this review is "very disappointed" but I am more angry than anything. These things are expensive, yes, but to have my grandson so hurt by a gift that didn't work, two different times, is inexcusable. ... show more
