This is an excellent bang for the buck. The packaging, using vacuum sealing meant it was compact and lightweight making it easy to carry upstairs. It took little effort to unpack and took maybe an hour to re-inflate. The mattress works well as both a couch and a bed, folding and laying flat without any fuss. It is comfortable and feels durable. By the evening the "new mattress" smell was long gone.

This Malliard futon mattress is CertiPUR-US. I contacted the company before I ordered this mattress, and they confirmed that all of their mattresses, including this one are CertiPUR-US. When my mattress arrived, it has a tag that has the CertiPUR-US certification on it. I’m happy to report there is zero smell from the mattress upon opening the box/plastic wrapping. I also own two of the Malliard tri-fold floor mattresses and they have no smell either. For the price, this futon mattress is a great value. It is comfortable and works well for what I intended, which is for my futon couch.

Replaced a roughly 30 year old futon mattress because the latter was very heavy, difficult to move--even just when folding from a bed set up into a couch--and too firm. This new mattress was easy to set up, has a nice fabric and color, is very comfortable, and just the right amount of support. I'd buy another without hesitation if we needed one.

First of all, a lot of reviews say that this is hard. It kind of is. But memory foam is either your thing or it isn’t. Personally, I love it. So if you have a firm memory foam mattress on your bed, this is the same thing only futon style. It is thicker than expected. I sit on my futon now way more than I did when I had the original spring mattress on it. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that it doesn’t have a crease or any Velcro attachments so it does slip in the frame a bit. The designers would have a perfect product if they added either of these features so it stayed on the frame a little better. Overall, it’s very comfortable and nicely made for the price.

The one we got when we ordered this in early Sept of 23 is absolutely wonderful! It arrived much quicker than expected, based on the timeline shown in order summary. The cover on the futon is of a much higher quality than we expected. It is quilted, black and has a lovely touchable feel to it. Granted, we had been sitting on a mattress-less futon for a bit too long so when we lay/sat on it for the first time, it may as well have been a giant body magnet. So comfy! But honestly, that aside, it really is very comfy, to the point where if I were putting up an overnight visitor, even someone frail or suffering with pain, etc, I would 100% use this and trust they would be comfortable on it. It is more comfortable than my actual bed mattress, which isn't too shabby itself. May the quality of this item always remain as it is (now) for future shoppers! We will be spending much more time watching tv in the living room instead of from a bedroom, from now on. X-D Based on measurements I was thinking it was going to be a bit small for our needs, but it is a perfect fit for a standard futon.

For an inexpensive futon mattress, this is nice. The textured cover makes it not look so boring, and the mattress is ver comfortable to sit, or take a nap on. It’s definitely more comfortable as a bed than a pull out or convertible sleeper, and easier to move if you need to rearrange a small space.

Exactly as described futon mattress. None of the issues some buyers reported; no odors, time to return to advertised dimensions. Firm yet comfortable. It worked well as a day bed during convalescence. High quality product at a fair price. Packaged securely. Came with a small sharp tool for easier opening. Highly recommended.
