I have never seen a futon in my life that you have to click into position. All the futons we have had, you lift up and push. Done. This one. No. You have to crank the thing forward then down. When you lay in the middle it folded like a taco. And after 4 months the back gave out and you can’t even lean on it. It has to be against the wall now. It was easy to put together. But it broke.     • Don’t do it, Please Don’t do it!!!
The media could not be loaded. This item was not what I was expecting at all! I have purchased! I have purchased a few futons throughout my life and this was a hunk of junk! I thought I was purchasing the sturdy metal frame futon but insteadI got a Rinky Dink flimsy piece of junk. It was easy to put together, I’ll give you that and it was not of the best quality. It didn’t mind it at first because I needed a temporary seating situation for my upstairs loft. Everything was great when I put it together. I pulled it out into bed rest position (flat) and then I positioned it back to seating (couch) position. Everything was fine. Let’s fast forward to two weeks later. My stepson comes over to spend the night and the freaking futon would not pull out to bed mode again. I was so made and embarrassed because he had to sleep on it folded up. Remind you, we didn’t use it after I put it together. It just sat upstairs in the loft untouched. I tried everything but it all boils down to it being a flimsy piece of crap. I’m not even gonna talk about the 3inch sponge that they sent in 4 squares that you have to stuff in the casing... SMH. I didn’t care because I can easily make a better cushion seating but the frame... is trash! It’s fine if you just want to sit but don’t plan for company because it won’t unfold. ... show more

    • This is a really convenient and nice piece of furniture.
Everything was fantastic in the box when it arrived and especially the tools. The instructions were a bit confusing but the hardest part was putting it together because the screws had to be all hammered into the metal holes because they did not fit in the holes, and hammering into to metal was very difficult. But all in all I give this product 9! And even though it took me hours to put it together l would like to buy another one. I love the 6inch cushions that came with this order but l think l would soon like to purchase more cushion because l am using this futon for a bed. ... show more

Two of us put it together. All parts and hardware were accounted for. Tools were included which was cool, except a philips head. We followed the directions step by step. Some of the steps were confusing simply because it didn't specify the top slats from bottom slats. We figured that would have made things easier because, there is one step in there that has you put one set of different screws in one of those slats, not specified. So of course we just winged it. Other than that, it went together smoothly. The mattress, it is not a thick heavy mattress like your average futon. But honestly, this mattress is great! It's light, foamy, & it's super comfy. I would definitely recommend this product! And the price is amazing!!! ... show more

The futon is just okay. You get what you pay for. I should've bought something that was of better quality. It has only been a few months and I think I already need a new mattress as it is starting to feel a little flat. Also, one of the metal pieces under the futon mattress already broke (I'm hoping that more don't break or this will be a loss). Given the price, if I can make it last a full year, I would say I got my moneys worth. ... show more

    • Great, but not for heavy people.
It took about two hours to assemble just because the screws were a bit difficult, but the instructions weren't too hard to understand and it feels really secure. The cushions are thick enough that you don't feel the bars and nothing is loose. FedEx had a hard time delivering it and I ended up having to redirect the delivery to a local store - plus, they did not treat it well. Because of a crushed portion of the box, the bottom of the legs were dented in, but we were able to fix it with some effort. Definitely don't plan to have it delivered up a set of stairs - the box is HUGE. After a week and a half, the brackets that change the position of the back broke/don't hold it up. It's weirdly at a 160° angle so I just recline really far back. ... show more

    • It does what it has to do in the most basic sense
I had read the reviews after my husband purchased this item (he did not read the reviews), so I expected there to be a lot of assembly. We purchased this item for a temporary place to sit while waiting for our new furniture in a new house. We should not have wasted the money. First, the assembly took the two of us HOURS to do. It was difficult, some of the pieces were bent and did not fit well. However, I was expecting that, and though they were not totally clear, we figured it out eventually. Next the actual product. Well, when I say that we sat on this right after putting it together and it flopped down like we were in some sort of sitcom, I am not exaggerating. It was funny, but then after sitting on it for two days, it has bent and flopped and it won't go back into a full upright position. I assume this will be perfectly fine as a bed, but it is not doing so well as any sort of seating. Comfort wise, this product is alright. It is not very comfortable, but it is not the worst thing I have ever sat on. I do wish I could lean back even a little bit without it falling over. (And yes I have made sure we are on the right side.) I would say if you are looking for something, look elsewhere. It is just not worth it. ... show more

It said in the instructions at one point; "two people needed to assemble...." I actually did it all by myself and didn't have trouble with it at all. It took a reasonable amount of time to assemble. It's sturdy. Overall I think it's great value for the price. The mattress is comfortable and easy for me to sleep on. ... show more
