If you have to stamp a lot of papers at once, a "pre-inked" stamp (one with the ink in the rubber stamp itself) will stop working and you have to wait a while for more ink to ooze out before you can continue stamping. This stamp, on the other hand, has a small ink pad built into it, and each time you stamp, the rubber stamp is re-inked by pressing against the ink pad thus avoiding the problem with pre-inked stamps. This stamp is well made and the built-in ink pad can be re-inked when it starts to run low. It makes clean impressions. Pre-inked stamps are good when you only have to stamp something infrequently.
