I've owned this futon frame for just about 2 years now and it's proven itself to be a very solid piece. I love the tray arms and the drawer units, too! The drawers are very handy for stashing away a couple of throws and even a pillow. The tray arms and the drawers also class it up and make it look a little more like a regular piece of traditional furniture (think "Pottery Barn" or "Crate & Barrel") and a little less like that college frat house futon you had back in the 90's. Plus if you move, you only need to partially disassemble it and not have to worry about trying to maneuver a traditional sofa through doorways and up or down stairs. Bonus! ... show more

Update: 8 inch mattress is super comfortable!! I put the drawers together in about an hour. My husband started on the bed. It took about 2.5 hours. I’m slower, so I started earlier. The instructions were easy to follow and it’s solid and a gorgeous piece of furniture. Just waiting on the mattress.

So far it has been fantastic. We have been using it as a sofa for about a month in the spare room (playroom, junk room & guest room). The kids are off and on it all the time. Over the holidays it got its first work out as a bed. Our guest said it was comfortable. Changing it to a bed was easy, my 5'4" self did it without any issues. Be advised i had to move it about 8 inches away from the wall to convert it, not a problem for our room, but something to be aware of. When it arrived one of the shelf supports was split. I contacted customer service and they sent a replcement immediately, they got back to me within the hour. I could not have been happier with the sellers customer service. With 3 children i picked up a waterproof mattress cover and leave it on while it is in sofa mode too. It has already saved us once (hot chocolate mess). The mattress will inch down over time and will need to be readjusted (while in sofa mode). ... show more

a bit of a wrangle with posting up the frame by to bed solo but its doable..set up was pretty much straightforward..not anything requiring your brain..i didn't really time it but around 2-16oz cans of coors light..just converted from a 3bd/2ba(2400 sq ') on an acre to 1 bad/1ba 900 sq' so space is now a commodity..this queen size takes up close to a third of my living space..bottom drawers were a bonus for sure..glad i went with the queen size..original order came in as a full size..happy i sent it back even tho it cost me addl $80..i think that should've been on the sellar but when your going thru a significant life change i kinda said whatever..ill post a pic once i get the place spiffed up..home this helps somebody..lates.. ... show more

This is a very nice looking piece of furniture and is very easy to use even for an older person such as myself. i can easily by myself change the configuration. So the the design is good. However, the materials are not up to snuff and after less than a year of use have serious stress fracture which means that I have to replace the lengthwise cross bar. This cross bar is not the 3x1x75 solid wood bar that it appears to be Instead it is a crafted length of wood. The stress fracture shows that this crossbar consists of multiple 1x 1.5 lengths of wood that have been glued together. Unfortunately care was not taken to ensure that the joints were lined up to avoid stress points. The result is the fracture you see above. I am hoping that I can get some sort of help from the seller. If you get this, make sure you also get the policy. ... show more

Instruction are not clear. Stickers on wrong place. One box showed up 6 days later. Which had all instruction. Three boxes on total. One tab was broken inside the hole. Had to drill it out and buy another one. The bed is solid. Nice quality. I did buy a mattress from diffrent company. Over all I glad I have the bed. But it’s a headache to put together. Takes at least two people ... show more

We received our futon/couch in a timely matter, even though it was a little delayed by flooding in our area. My nineteen year old son put it together with a little help from his Dad. My kids put a twin mattress on the back and doubled over twin mattress on the seat. It is very comfortable. I thought it was great that I could sit back and still put my feet on the floor. (I am only 5'2") I asked my 6'3" husband if he liked it, because of this. He said he was totally comfortable leaning back and stretching out his legs. My son and daughters seem totally happy as well. The drawers are great for storing throws and my daughter is planning to storing an "in progress puzzle" in one of them. (Perfect for keeping it out of the reach of 3dogs and 4 cats) Just slide it in and back out when you want. Reasonable price for an attractive couch that is sturdy and well made. I feel confident in my opinion since I grew up in family business which specialized in building, repairing and refinishing furniture. ... show more
