The first one held up for over 5 years of abuse in a high traffic area ( opening and closing at least 20+ times a day!). East to install. Takes a minute to get the hang of sliding lock open but it becomes habit quickly and is easy. Closes automatically and securely every time (great feature). Best gate, ever! Easy to assemble, perfect height. I have the 39” tall model. Latch works easily, swings open about 110 degrees both toward and away from you. Using it to separate an older, temperamental cat from a new rescue 8 month old male kitten. The bars are close enough together to keep him out of her space, while she gets her hissy fits out of the way. A younger kitten could squeeze through, but at 8 lbs when he was adopted, he was already too big to squeeze through. He could jump it if he really wanted to, but hasn’t even tried. She likes having her space, and he likes the freedom to be on the main floor, and the kitchen! It’s helping with the introductions, and looks nice. The walk through feature is priceless. I use a large rubber door stopper to keep it from closing when not in use. I tried a taller style, 72” from a different seller, but it was so tall and heavy, that if it ever came loose and fell, it could have really hurt someone. Got the brown for the living area and the white for the kitchen/basement entrance. Both look great. At under $50, it’s a great value. Would also be excellent for toddlers.

This is a really great pet gate, I’ve owned a lot over the years. The construction is solid. Well built. For the price, totally worth it. Installation was a breeze. I have no complaints, just wish it had a stay open feature. You have to prop it open if you want to keep it open for whatever reason, which is kind of a pain, but the gates great. First day installed. So I’ll update if any issues arise.

Works well and not too hard to set up. I had to order an extra 6" extension because the entranceway I needed it for is 40", but with that extension and one of the included 3" ones it fits well. Seems pretty secure, and has already prevented my cat from getting past me once.

I have had this gate for years now, and it is still in great shape. I had to leave it behind in a move, and it makes me sad, because they are not as accessible on Amazon now as they were at the time. Sometimes the gate stops locking in place, but when that happens, it's a reminder to tighten the pressure gauges in the door frame (then it is good to go again). Family members and friends who came over and saw it always complimented/admired it. Or, well, the ones who have animals (dogs and/or cats) did, anyway. Would absolutely recommend.

Wonderful product. Easy to use, and worth the price. Kept the dogs out of my son’s room. He’s autistic and doesn’t like the dogs going into his room because they eat his toys. He’s able to come in and out of his room with ease. He loves it. He’s still able to hear us near so his bedroom door remains open, but the gate stays closed. We love it. Fits great. I will mention, One of the bottom small pieces did break on the corner when removing to extend it but it still worked out well don’t mind. You can’t tell. Still functions great.

The marketing around this product claims the company is headquartered in America, with all their staff in America. They never claim the gate is made in America, so I won't call them liars. That said I think you could be forgiven for assuming the gate is also made in America given how much they talk about everything else being from America. Feels like the marketing was misleading on purpose. The gate opens both ways, which is nice. It closes automatically (unless I've just got it angled a bit) which can be good or bad, but I find a bit annoying. I don't forget to close my other pet gate, so it would just get in the way if I was trying to carry something through the gate. It's also a bit hard to open. Like it takes a bit more physical effort for me to get it open than my other gate. My dogs can't get through either, so I consider this a downside. That said it's a gate that keeps the dogs out. It does it's job. I would probably not recommend it for the reasons listed above, but I'm not going to return it because it's not that bad.
