This baby safety gate has given my family new life. We have an elderly dog in our family and he decided to start using the bathroom in our side room in our house. We tried a number of different methods to block off the room and some worked and others did not. This gate is very versatile and it gave me more than one option to install and be used for what I needed to use it for. The color of the gate is neutral - so it should blend into any environment once installed. During installation the opening on the door I wanted to install it on was kind of weird and the enclosed instructions helped me out a great deal going forward. No issues at all during install, but make sure you read everything and look at the pictures added to the description. It's very easy to stall a component or two backwards. The durability factor is one I have been watching very intently because the side room we block off is our entry way in and out of the house. We have not had any issues to date, only minor issues with how the gate roles back in place. Once or twice it got folded over. This gate is pet friendly for short animals and tall animals. The adjustability factor amazing. I made adjustments when I was installing it and I have not had to make any since. This gate is a very good buy for anyone who is watching their budget.

I use this for my nursery and I love it! I have two dogs that I need to keep out of that room and it works perfect. It was easy to install and it has a lock mechanism so if your dog tries to push on the mesh it won’t go anywhere!

This adjustable gate is exactly what i needed to keep dogs on deck. So easy to install and retracts easily also looks nice too. I purchased another one for bedroom when visitors come over. I like being able to lock them so children can't let them out. They sure are sturdy because grandchildren are rambunctious and they still look new. Bought one used like new. Very pleased with it, saved a few bucks for same product. I would recommend for dogs or children. They won't break it for sure. And easily opens and closes with two fingers.

I love the fact the gate retracts and is out of the way when not needed, but it is a little flimsy. I would not expect it to keep a dog or child that pushed on a gate to stay behind it. It’s also hard to latch compared to other metal or plastic gates Ive used. Not a terrible purchase, but I would go with a higher quality gate over this one. I do love the fact it comes in different color, though!

I knew what I was getting, as I had seen this gate at my in-laws' house. It is very convenient because it retracts. I use it with my mom, who has dementia mostly as a reminder to not get to certain places - but if you want to use it as part ofd dementia care, keep in mind that if a person is very strong, this might be more of a tripping hazard than a barrier. The locking mechanism is clever - and took me a moment to figure out. I definitely think this is great for kids and smaller, non-jumping dogs. And this takes me to the worst part of this - the instructions are absolutely abysmal and full of contradictions. For instance, the instructions state not to mount it on drywall but drywall anchors are included. The kit also includes some things that look like plastic washers and are called "spacers" but I could see no purpose for them. The mounting templates were made of paper (understandably) and came folded so strongly that they were warped and hard to use. The instructions also fail to specify how to mount the gate on the bracket and it I had to just experiment with it to figure this out. Manufacturer should just take pics of the step by step or make a video and share it as a QR code on the instructions leaflet. Also, include tips on how to ensure that the gate fabric does not crease (caused by uneven mounting but tips would help).

I have a 14 month old who’s as active as you could imagine. I’d constantly battle having to grab him before he could get anywhere near the staircase and risk falling backwards 20 feet. Ever since getting this, I no longer have to worry about it and the installation is extremely easy to use and the locking mechanism is out of his reach so he can’t just bypass it. If you’re a parent and run into the same relative issues, this is hands down the #1 gate that you should be buying. Side note: it’s low enough for the cats to be able to jump over but high enough for the baby to not be able to get past.

Very nice. Flexible, so if you aren't installing it straight across, it works good. We installed it on the stairs leading up to the top bunk bed. We love the way the locking mechanism works, easy for us, but difficult for a small child.
