This gate feels of great quality and was pretty easy to install. I am using it outside (which I know it’s not intended for outdoor use) and so far it has held without any issues. It has a little tab that you can move to make the gate open inward or outward or make it swing freely so It will work regardless of your needs. The lock is pretty good and easy to open. It comes with rubber to protect the wall and also helps with grip. This was pretty easy to set up and it looks great. I was able to install it inside in a regular sized door without any issues.     • Great choice for a pet gate

I have had dogs for years and my wife owned a groom shop so I have experience with trying to keep dogs in or out. This gate does the job. It was very easy to assemble and install (but keep in mind that I have dealt with pet gates for years). Based on how its constructed, its pretty much fool proof when putting it inside the door frame. It has a "stopper" tab on both sides of the gate so you can install it to swing in either direction which I thought was pretty smart. If I could give it a 4 1/2 stars, thats probably where it truly ranks for me because of 2 things. The handle/locking mechanism is a bit wonky. "Unlocking" the gate using the top handle mechanism takes some dexterity and concentration. There are two different things that have to be done at the same time to get the gate lock to open - one is like a trigger on the underside of the handle and the other is a sliding piece on the top. It doesnt take two hands to open, but it isnt all that easy with just one hand if you are not in the right position - its just weird and a bit of a pain. The second thing is the height. I bought the 36 inch gate which is what I needed, but that puts the gate almost exactly at the height of the door handle. The door still closes but I have to somewhat work it closed to get the handle to clear the gate and then work it back to open the door. If door handles are all at a standard height in homes, this could be an issue for some if they want to close the door. Overall, I do love the gate, its exactly what I needed. It looks great, its sturdy, and even better, the dog can now see down the hallway. I feel that it safely closes and secures so he doesnt have the run of the house if I'm gone. For the price, I havent found anything better and highly recommend! ... show more

I was super excited to set up this baby gate after it arrived in the mail. It was fairly easy to assemble and simple to install. I love the overall look, feel, and how the bronzish-brown finish matches doorknobs and light fixtures in my house. However, I’m not so sure on sturdiness. It took my 22 month old less than five minutes to shove the gate door open. My son is a smart little guy that loves to understand how and why things work. He already figured out how to unscrew the tension rods too. The problem is that top lock can be shoved hard enough for the door to open. But if the two pieces at the bottom of the gate are pointed down, then gate is secure and won’t budge. I don’t think it will take my toddler long to figure out how to flip them up. I noticed in another review that the stickers are hard to remove. Some goo gone will take that off fairly quickly. Maybe it’s user error? UPDATE: I’ve had two of these gates for 2 years and a few months now. The one pictured in my review was moved to the opening on the left end of the hallway and just barely broke when my toddler shut it hard. These gates have taken a beating and honestly I’m satisfied with how they’ve lasted. They have been perfect to temporarily close off parts of the house. The hinge piece opposite the top latch snapped. It’s the welding that can’t be fixed. I’ve been thinking about purchasing a retractable gate that would be less conspicuous for the space for some time now and probably will now that the current one is unusable. ... show more

I LOVE these gates! I actually loved the first one so much, I bought a second one. I use them when I need to shuffle dogs around, or keep them seperated from one another. They are very sturdy, and they adjust to the size of the door frame very well, without having to screw anything in. I have an older house and weird sized frames, and they work perfectly in each one. I have big pit bulls, and they've kept them contained thus far. Price is also a huge selling point for a solid gate! 👌👌👌 ... show more
