  • Amazing dehumidifier! Huge difference Amazing dehumidifier! Huge difference
Style: 1500 Sq.Ft
We are absolutely in love with this dehumidifier and has been the best purchase for our house. We live in a very humid climate (Florida) and two blocks from the ocean which gives us a nightly sea fog. This has changed our home (over 1,200sq ft) night and day. Functionality: it's got a bunch of features an modes which even dry our clothes inside when it's raining plus a mode for when it's raining too! It also has a cool 24 hr timer (shut off) to give it a rest for an hour so it lasts a longtime an works at its maximum at all times. We use it in the drain hose mode cause it's such a beast removing the water. I like to watch it sometimes just steadily streaming water in amazement. Not sure how to do the ionizing mode or if it just automatically does it. We battled even with another dehumidifier running with 70-85% humidity which makes our blankets an stuff feel damp an nasty, now its common for it to be in the 40s percantile range an never gets above 65%(with rain). This machine functions phenomenally and couldn't imagine life without it. Because everything mentioned, it deserves 5 star's for its functionality & results. Noise level: we run it at its maximum and don't even notice a sound. It's definitely quieter then the one in our bedroom even running full bore. We could definitely have this in our bedroom (if we wanted too) and sleep without a problem with this machine running on high without a problem. So I give this 5 star's in this field hands down. Maneuverability: the machine itself doesn't weigh much as it is and it comes with small wheels if you frequently wish to move it around. We personally put it next to our sink (in drain hose mode) because it's such a beast at removing moisture. I rolled the machine around to see how well it moves an I give it 5 star's in this area as well. Sleep mode: we never use it in this mode cause we need it at its maximum operating potential and it already being so quiet as is but I tested it up close an wow it was super quiet. I couldn't even tell if the machine was even on (in both modes really). In this mode you could sleep next to it right next to your head and wouldn't have a problem falling asleep or staying asleep. Because of these reasons, I definitely give it 5 star's in this field too. All in all, this is the best dehumidifier we ever owned or seen. The price point makes it very affordable and we feel like we still got a great bargain on it. We really love this machine an feel it's been the best purchase, for our health an to protect our belongings, for the house. All the reasons mentioned above is why we are confident in giving this machine a all around 5 star rating. This is the unit to get and you will not regret this purchase ever! ... show more

  • Updated - Very quiet, works very well, excellent customer service
Style: 1500 Sq.Ft
Update 6/13/21: I now have two of these. I started with one to see how well it worked for a few weeks and it is amazing, very quiet, keeps the humidity low in an oversized space and the customer service has been awesome. My apartment is 1,069 sq ft with high ceilings. This unit is rated for around 700 sq ft but has kept my apt close to 49-51% humidity with my AC set at 75F. I have one unit in my main room (kitchen / living room combined) and the second unit in my laundry closet). The laundry closet is up against an outside wall and was very humid (60, 70, 80% and some of the dirty kitchen towels were getting damp and musty). The situation in the laundry closet totally freaked me out due to my severe mold allergies and that closed has no ventilation or cooling. So I have the second unit in there with a circulation fan, a humidity meter and the dehumidifier drains continuously into a 5 gallon paint bucket. Normally I'd have to turn my humidity down to 68-69F to handle the very high humidity we have where I live (Houston has super high humidity in the summer, just had three weeks of rain and 80-90% humidity most of the time). I am deathly allergic to mold and am at high risk for any type of water intrusion. This unit has enabled me to keep the humidity low and increase the AC setpoint to save on my electric bill (the electric bill doubles when I don't use a dehumidifier). Note: the instructions are not great by any means. So I sent this complaint to the company and the customer service person, Lily replied within a day. She asked me to send more info and forwarded that on to her technical team. I also sent a few specific questions, which she answered the following day in an email. So here is a bit more info that is missing from the instructions: Q1: What is the humidity range for the Standard Mode and for the Continuous (CO) operation. A1: The application humidity range of this product is 40%-80% when the machine works under standard mode and CO condition setting, the range is 40%-80%. In standard Mode you use the HUM button to set the humidity level in 5% increments from 40-80%. The CO humidity option is also part of the HUM selections. Q2: How do I know when to use the defrost function, does it operate automatically? A2: The defrost function turns on automatically when the temperature is lower than a certain degree. If the sensor detects that the machine needs to be defrosted, the function would start automatically and the indicator will be on. I am one happy customer in a perfectly temperature controlled home with low humidity!! Initial Review - Roughly mid-late May, 2021 This product is very quiet and works really well. I will run this for a while and will probably buy a second unit. It's light and easily movable plus the continuous drainage hose is a big bonus! Update after 10 days of use: ok, so I officially LOVE this unit! My electric bill doubled without this dehumidifier because I had to set the AC much lower (69F) once we got into the humid season here in Houston. I live in a 1069 sq ft apartment with high ceilings (so lots of cubic feet of air) and after using this for 10 days the humidity level dropped to 50-53% on the Raining mode at an AC setpoint of 75F early on and has remained there even with lots of rain outside. It's running like a champ and I'm SO glad I was able to increase the AC setpoint. I will say that the instructions definitely need work particularly how to attach the continuous draining hose to the actual water outlet nozzle inside the water drawer. Make sure to slide the hose onto the outlet nozzle inside the water drawer or the hose won't work at all. I've used another brand of dehumidifier that was rated as the top quiet unit back in 2018. It could not keep up with the humidity because it was undersized for 1069 sq ft and it was much noisier. So, if you want a very quiet dehumidifier that pulls a good amount of water out of the air this is the one to go with. As we move into even more heat and humidity in Houston I will probably purchase a second unit. It's very light, easy to move around, and easy to place on a counter next to a sink or on a table with a 5 gallon bucket underneath for continuous drainage. ... show more

  • Coverage isn’t that big
Style: 1500 Sq.Ft
I’ve had two of these for two years now here are my thoughts. 1. The units are better suited for 500-1000sqft spaces. I initially started out with just one in my 1,200sqft apartment only to realized I needed another pretty quick. These two combined each in opposite sides of my unit work great. 2. The units are honestly too big to use the tubing included so they can just drain down a sink. If you have a in floor drain that would be perfect for these. 3. They operate rather quietly and generally produce enough water that I have to empty them once every 24 hours. My building gets crazy humid in the summer that these two keep the indoor humidity for my unit around 50-60%. If you’re looking for lower rh I’d suggest getting a bigger unit. All in all I’m satisfied with these units. My only gripe and the reason for 4 stars is because they don’t really preform at the square footage listed. So far the lifespan has been fine. No functional issues from either unit. After being cleaned and stored for the winter I just dust them off and they go right back to running. They also move around really easily and are small enough to be inconspicuous in any room they sit in. ... show more

  • Great product
Style: 1500 Sq.Ft
Great humidifier. I use for 300sqft room and I keep at 56% humidity and empty every other day in summer. I live in Florida so very humid. This is a workhorse, it’s quiet, reliable, doesn’t affect my power bill (that I’ve noticed). Turns off automatically when full. Easy to use, wheels for moving. This is a great dehumidifier. • Does what it says it will do!
Style: 1500 Sq.Ft
I purchased this for my fairly large, walk in closet, as I have two gun cabinets in there to keep humidity free, or as much as possible. So far, this dehumidifier is doing exactly what it says it will do....and it is doing it VERY WELL and QUIETLY at the same time! Yes, yes, the drain hose is a finicky, but if you use common sense, it isn't that hard. Then again, I planned ahead. I have it sitting on top of a cheap lamp table with at 2.5 gallon water bottle below it. I tried to use the rubber hose that came with it, and it will work, but it also crimps very easily. So I purchased some hose from the local big box orange store, and it works great! I put a inlet nipple on the top of the 2.5 gallon water jug and bam, works like a champ. I have had it running for about 5 days now, and I will have to empty it today, but I also put it on 'night' mode at night, which still works, but at a reduced rate. The tank is very small, but I new that going into this. So can I recommend it? Yes, it certainly does what it says it will do. Longevity? Not a clue at this point. I also want to point out that the listed website in the manual to register for a 2 year warranty doesn't exist. So I emailed them and they promptly asked me to send them my order number and they would register my unit for the full 2 year warranty. That is strange by itself. Will I keep it? If it keeps going the way it currently is within the 30 return window, then yes. Update to Review: Still going after just shy of two years now and not one hiccup. I live in Southern Texas, and the humidity in the summer is just dumb. I have this in my closet with my two gun cabinets. I have two water bottles connected to it, 1, 5 gallon and 1, 4 gallon (overflow). They will both fill up in about 2.5 weeks! During the winter, it takes about 2 months for both to fill up. This unit is relatively quiet and just keeps going. If it ever quits, I will be buying a new one from the same company! 4+ year update: It has now started to freeze up. I have defrosted it, but it almost immediately froze again. Pretty sure it is toast. Was it worth it for 4+ years? IDK....but I do know that it would have cost a lot more if I had been using the throw away items such as Damprid, 4 to 5 times more. At least. The amount of water it pulled from my closet was unreal...this is where my gun cabinets are. So yes, it was worth it. ... show more

  • Almost Worthless!
Style: 1500 Sq.Ft
I purchased this unit for a 10x15 workout area in order to protect my gym equipment from rusting. I had been using a 50 pint per day dehumidifier by another manufacturer in the area with excellent results, but I wanted to use that larger unit elsewhere, so I purchased this 30 pint per day unit. According to the seller's advertisement, this AIRPLUS 30 pint unit, which is listed for 500 square feet, should have been able to easily handle my 150 square foot workout area. After a few weeks, however, I noticed that my gym equipment was starting to show signs of rust, even though I had the unit set to the lowest humidity setting of 40% RH. I also noticed that the unit was having a hard time of getting down to 40%. Usually, it wouldn't get below 44%. I would like to point out that in the main description this unit is listed for 500 square feet, but in their response to a question, the manufacturer states “It covers 215sqft at most.” There are also some design features that, in my opinion, are a very poor: The air intake is located on the back of the unit, which means that to work most efficiently, the unit needs to be farther away from the wall toward the middle of the room. This creates more of a tripping hazard with the electric cord and hose, especially in a small area. The water bucket and filter are also located on the back of the unit, making them difficult to access. Also, even though I had the hose attached, water still found its way into the bucket. I would not recommend this unit at any price or for any size room (other than a walk-in closet or very small laundry room). I suggest spending a little more for at least a 50 pint per day unit with the air intake, filter, and water bucket located on the front of the unit, and the hose attachment located on the back. ... show more

  • 4.5 Stars - Great Dehumidifier! Extremely Loud Beeping
Style: 1500 Sq.Ft
This unit works great as a dehumidier in Oregon where the interior humidity is considently 60-75% without the dehumidifier running. Setting the gauge to 50%, it's efficient and quick, resulting in needing to be emptied about once a day. I wish I could dock half a point for the *incredibly* loud beeping it makes when it's full or when the tank is removed preemptively to empty it. I understand the importance of knowing when the tank is removed while actively running. However, if you try to empty the tank before it gets completely full - even if you turn it off - it will loudly beep unless the unit is entirely unplugged from the wall. When the it becomes full while running it, it makes the same loud noise (for about 30 seconds in either case). In an apartment, this is extremely inconsiderate to my neighbors, especially if it goes off in the middle of the night. As far as I have been able to tell, there's no way to turn this noise down or off. For someone without children (no little hands to get into mischief) and who is not hearing impaired (great feature for someone who is), a simply fail safe to stop running if the tank is removed or full and a single beep or two when full would be sufficient. ... show more
