This is a great unit and well worth the price. The water tank is ridiculously small and hard to remove but the drain hose system works great. I used the garden hose adapter to attach it to a hose that reaches the drain. It leaked a bit at first but the problem was easily resolved. The unit is quiet and easy to operate. It did cease to function in less than a year, which according to the company, is very rare. Aeocky offers outstanding customer service--prompt, responsive, helpful and quick replacement. Save your purchase information and warranty certificate which you will need to supply if your unit malfunctions under warranty. You will also need to prove the unit doesn't work by sending photos but it was all easy to do. The new unit is working great!

I purchased the AEOCKY 4500 Sq.Ft Energy Star Most Efficient 2025 Dehumidifier a few weeks ago for our large basement, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. This unit is a game-changer. What I love most: Huge coverage area – Our basement is around 3,800 sq ft and this dehumidifier handles it with ease. Within just a couple of days, the musty smell was completely gone and the air feels noticeably drier and fresher. Energy efficiency – As an Energy Star Most Efficient 2025 model, it's impressively power-friendly. Our electric bill barely moved even with it running 24/7 at first. That's huge for a unit this powerful. Fast moisture removal – It pulls an incredible amount of water out of the air. The tank fills up quickly when humidity is high, but the continuous drain hose option (which I set up) makes maintenance effortless. Quiet operation – Much quieter than our old unit. We can watch TV in the basement without being bothered by loud fan noise. User-friendly – The digital controls and display are intuitive. I love the auto-humidistat that maintains our desired humidity level perfectly, along with the auto-restart feature after power outages. The build quality feels solid, and the modern design looks much better than typical bulky dehumidifiers. Setup was straightforward right out of the box. If you're dealing with humidity issues in a large space, I highly recommend this AEOCKY model. It's worth every penny and has made a dramatic difference in our home's comfort. Excellent purchase! I rarely write a review. I feel I need to on this one since my experience with customer service was truly outstanding. I purchased this unit in Sept of 2025 because of the reviews specifically on sound level, advertised efficiency, as well as the 2 year warranty. Worked great from Sept until winter when I shut it off and let it sit in place. Started it up in the late spring and it began removing less and less water and the coil kept frosting up. When it was working it was everything advertised, way quieter than past units I've had and very efficient (I measured the power draw), worked just great. Fast forward, contacted customer service, had a reply THE NEXT DAY requesting I perform some troubleshooting steps which I did (I have a mobile AC certificate, I knew where where this was going to go) but the requests were reasonable. I duly performed the steps, sent the requested pictures and again, THE NEXT DAY, received a response that the unit was defective, it was under warranty and they were sending another one which I received a few days later. (FYI Under normal basement conditions, the frosting coil usually means the refrigerant charge is low from leaking). Although I am sorry to say it only lasted one season, it was still a good deal with the warranty replacement. I can't say how many dehumidifiers I've had that only lasted one to two years max and they only had a one year warranty. Also, since I know my way around this type of unit, I took the cover off to take a peak inside and I will say the manufacturer has clearly taken several steps that are beyond what you usually see. They wrap the compressor in a sound deadening blanket and the suction line is fully insulated. The compressor sits on sound isolation bushings that appear to be matched well to the compressor weight. Also, I can't prove it, but the copper itself feels heavier than my other units over the last 10 years or so. Overall, it looks well designed and well assembled. I'm assuming this is why they can offer the 2 year warranty (maybe its 3, not sure). Anyway with at least a 2 year warranty, you can try it out for 2 seasons to shake it out. I recommend you give this one a try.

So I used this for 4 months in our basement last summer and it did a wonderful job of controlling the humidity. We have very humid summers and dry winters so I didn’t need to run the unit for about 6 months. I turned it back on this year when the humidity began to rise and it worked well for a couple of days before it stopped working. Now the good news. I contacted Aeocky by email and their customer service immediately responded and had me run a test for a few hours. I reported the results which confirmed the unit was defective. The company immediately shipped me a new unit that arrived in 5 days and they didn’t even want me to return the old unit which saved me time and money. This product has a good warranty and exceptional customer service in my opinion. I currently rate this product 4 of 5 stars. I’m withholding one star for a couple of seasons until the replacement unit proves to be reliable but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this dehumidifier as it has a great design, is reasonably quiet and functioned well until it prematurely died. Their outstanding customer service should give you confidence that if you happen to get a defective unit that the company will honor their warranty without making it a hassle on you.

About a year ago, I purchased two of these units—one for each level of our home—and they've been running for 7–8 months at a time with virtually no interruption. They pull the humidity down quickly, often within just a few hours, and then maintain the desired level effortlessly. They've been quiet, reliable, and incredibly effective. Recently, one of the units developed what I believed to be a faulty sensor. I'm pretty handy, so my first thought was simply to buy the replacement part and repair it myself. After searching online without success, I contacted Aeocky through Amazon with one simple question: "Can I purchase the sensor?" Within just a few hours, a customer service representative responded with a few troubleshooting steps to confirm my diagnosis. After I sent a couple of photos and answered a few questions, they agreed the sensor had failed. I now have two units. I started with one that lasted about 10 months. During that time, I was emptying it twice a day and should have been emptying it three times a day. Dehumidifier performance was very good and the noise level was better than expected. On maximum performance, the fan was loud but no more so than any fan on a high setting. On night mode, the unit still was able to maintain the room without disturbing sleep. At about 10 months, the fan still worked but it no longer removed water. I emailed customer service and they responded within a day, providing me with clear instructions on how to reset the unit and conduct diagnostic testing. After I provided them with the results, they confirmed it required replacement and shipped a new unit which arrived within about 10 days. Throughout our communications, Aeocky customer service was courteous, helpful, and patient with me. They were the customer service ideal and I cannot praise them enough. AFTER this experience, I purchased a new, more powerful, second unit and I highly recommend the company.

I’ve had the 80 pint unit for two years. I set the humidistat at 50% and leave it year round in my basement. I have found it to be very quiet, very effective, and very efficient in that it takes the moisture out of the air quickly and uses a small amount of electricity. Today we had rain all day long. The drain outside my basement door was blocked and water entered the basement under the door. I had the door open for about 1/2 hour while I siphoned and scooped the water from outside the door. I noted the reading on the Aeocky unit was up to 66% humidity. I finished, closed the door, and vacuumed up what water I could. Two hours later I checked the dehumidifier and the reading was back to 52%. For two years this unit has worked great and my basement has felt dry.

After much research, I purchased this unit on May 03, 2025. All last season it performed flawlessly in my basement. At the end of the season, it was stored waiting for the 2026 season. Upon startup this year, it appeared ready to function properly with the fan running but did not dehumidify. No water at all. I contacted AEOCKY Customer Service via email and they were absolutely wonderful to work with. Communication was prompt, polite and a resolution was developed. They walked me through troubleshooting the defective unit and the error code indicated a fatal malfunction of the original unit. Within 2 DAYS of my initial contact with AEOCKY CS, I received a brand new replacement unit at my door. I do not know why the original unit ran perfectly for one season and then malfunctioned. I do know that it was quiet and functioned very well dehumidifying a large basement area. I also know that even though there was an issue with the original unit, I do not hesitate to Highly Recommend this AEOCKY model and their impeccable Customer Service. No matter how well a piece of equipment is made and tested, problems can happen. The backing of a product warranty and appropriate resolution is what makes a reputable company. The new unit is running as I write this review and performing 100%. Thank you AEOCKY Customer Service for turning a potentially difficult process into a painless, wonderful and stress free experience.
