  • Great Product and Outstanding Support
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
My purchase was prompted by a recall notification for a dehumidifier I had been using for 5+ years. It was functioning as intended but was recalled due potential fire hazard. After some research I decided this Aeocky 80 pint per day unit was the best balance of price/performance for my use and ordered it. It arrived promptly & securely packaged in the manufacturer' heavy-weight box. It was easy to set up and the included drain hose was easy to install. After a day or two it became apparent it was significantly better at extracting moisture than the unit it replaced and much quieter too. The biggest surprise was when I reviewed my electric bill after 2 full months of use; the Aeocky was about $30 per month less expensive to operate! (yes, I closely monitor my utility bills and maintain a 5+ year usage history in excel.) Just over 12 months later I began to notice a steady decline in the volume of water it produced (the drain hose discharges into a 5 gallon bucket). A week or so later it became unable to maintain my desired humidity level. I thought "Darn.. now I have to wrestle with some unresponsive entity to get it replaced or repaired under warranty".. My concern increased when I discovered ("discovered" only because I never reviewed the warranty details before) that Aeocky, not Amazon, was the warranty contact and only via email.. My expectations were low.. And I couldn't have been more wrong! Aeocky responded less than 4 hours after I sent my email! They asked that I complete a couple troubleshooting tasks and provide the results. And then a couple more and provide those results. Less than an hour after my email of those results they informed me they had confirmed the unit was faulty and they would replace it at no cost. No cost as in NO COST! And they didn't require me to return the failed unit! I was impressed and pretty satisfied except for thinking "the replacement is probably a week or more out, what am I going to do until then?" Well, wrong again! Several hours later an email from Aeocky arrives with a FedEx tracking number.. an OVERNIGHT tracking number!! Seriously.. Aeocky shipped the replacement overnight!! You may be thinking this guy must work for Aeocky or he's getting paid for this review.. well, if you are you'd be wrong. I don't work for Aeocky and I'm not being paid for this review. What I AM is totally blown-away by Aeocky CUSTOMER SERVICE! But wait, there's more! (how many times have we all heard and smirked at that line?) Aeocky just followed up to verify my satisfaction with the replacement unit AND extend the duration of the original warranty by 2 months! At 70+ yrs old I've experienced some awful customer service and some good customer service and everything in between.. Aeocky customer service is the absolute BEST by a huge margin! ... show more

  • Great Customer Service, Well Designed and Well Assembled
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
I rarely write a review. I feel I need to on this one since my experience with customer service was truly outstanding. I purchased this unit in Sept of 2025 because of the reviews specifically on sound level, advertised efficiency, as well as the 2 year warranty. Worked great from Sept until winter when I shut it off and let it sit in place. Started it up in the late spring and it began removing less and less water and the coil kept frosting up. When it was working it was everything advertised, way quieter than past units I've had and very efficient (I measured the power draw), worked just great. Fast forward, contacted customer service, had a reply THE NEXT DAY requesting I perform some troubleshooting steps which I did (I have a mobile AC certificate, I knew where where this was going to go) but the requests were reasonable. I duly performed the steps, sent the requested pictures and again, THE NEXT DAY, received a response that the unit was defective, it was under warranty and they were sending another one which I received a few days later. (FYI Under normal basement conditions, the frosting coil usually means the refrigerant charge is low from leaking). Although I am sorry to say it only lasted one season, it was still a good deal with the warranty replacement. I can't say how many dehumidifiers I've had that only lasted one to two years max and they only had a one year warranty. Also, since I know my way around this type of unit, I took the cover off to take a peak inside and I will say the manufacturer has clearly taken several steps that are beyond what you usually see. They wrap the compressor in a sound deadening blanket and the suction line is fully insulated. The compressor sits on sound isolation bushings that appear to be matched well to the compressor weight. Also, I can't prove it, but the copper itself feels heavier than my other units over the last 10 years or so. Overall, it looks well designed and well assembled. I'm assuming this is why they can offer the 2 year warranty (maybe its 3, not sure). Anyway with at least a 2 year warranty, you can try it out for 2 seasons to shake it out. I recommend you give this one a try. ... show more

  • Works very well! Great customer support
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
This unit draws a lot of water out of the air. In about 14 hours, it fills the entire giant bucket while the air is above 55% humidity. The air feels noticeably dryer in the immediate vicinity around it (I'm that sensitive, I can feel the difference). My house has very tall ceilings so needs a much bigger dehumidifier than the rated sq. footage (more volume in the air) and a more powerful fan. This unit has a strong fan and moderate noise level (not as loud as you would think for the air current it produces). It's easy to use, just plug and go. I leave it on almost 24 hours during humid seasons. For my 2400sq ft tall ceiling house, I have 3 dehumidifiers, two 2500sqft and one 5500 sqft (this one). This one does the bulk of the work. My unit broke down after 9 months randomly. I contacted the seller and they replaced my unit and extended the warranty for 2 months. The new one works perfectly again. They didn't ask me to leave a 5 star review, they didn't try to bias my review in any way unlike another dehumidifier company had tried to do. They were kind and professional. ... show more

  • Bought specifically for longevity, failing like every other after 8 months
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
UPDATE 5/15/2026 I had reached out Aeocky back in January when the unit failed. They responded very quickly and asked me to perform some tests on the unit. The result of those tests confirmed that the unit was bad. They immediately offered the option of a replacement or a full refund. They also advised at that time they were aware of issues with packaging and shipment damage and therefore were reluctant to send a replacement until upgrades were made. I took the refund option, which I received. I had also requested that they notify me once they had resolved the packaging issues, as I was interested in purchasing another unit from them. Fast forward to today; I received an email from Aeocky offering to send me a replacement unit as compensation for the earlier failed unit. I responded that they had already issued a refund for that unit, but they still offered to send a replacement. This is a level of customer service I have rarely seen and gives me confidence in purchasing products from Aeocky. I am excited to try the replacement unit, as this was by far the best dehumidifier I had owned, prior to it failing prematurely. I will provide updates on how the replacement works but just wanted to express how impressed I am with Aeocky's service and support. UPDATE 1/6/2026 Well, my high hopes of this unit living up to its claim of superior materials and longevity were dashed today when I discovered that the unit is already failing after only 8 months of use. Same failure as every other dehumidifier has had over the past 10+ years, which appears to be a refrigerant leak. The evaporator coil is icing from the bottom up and unit no longer condenses water and therefore does not remove moisture from the room. When I first discovered this, the unit was running and the compressor was running but making a sort of 'gravel-y' sound. The unit was pushing out room-temp air and the coil had ice at the very bottom, with the rest being room temp. I shut the unit off and then turned it back on about five minutes later and let it run for around 30 minutes. This time the compressor sounded normal and output air was slightly warm, but the coil progressively iced from the bottom up, and at that point was about 3/4 frozen, while the rest was still warm (room temp.) I attached pictures of this to this review. Note, I only removed the filter briefly to take the pictures, but it is normally in place and clean. In either case, it no longer lowers the humidity level of the room and no longer produces condensate from the drain hose. I am going to reach out to the company to see about a warranty replacement, so we will see if they honor that. But even if they do, it's a shame if they keep failing so quickly. Maybe the replacement will last longer, who knows? When it worked, it was the best I've owned by far. I will provide updates... ORIGINAL REVIEW I have been through 6 or 7 dehumidifiers over just the past 11 years. None have lasted more than around a year, with some failing sooner. In every case they failed due to refrigerant leaks. When buying this latest one, I did a bunch of research before pulling the trigger and settled on this one specifically based on their claim that these are '[...] designed for No-Worry use for at least 5 years under normal transport conditions.' I'd say our use is very much 'normal', yet none have lasted long. They mention the type of compressor they use as well as using thickened, 7mm pure copper tubing. In addition to all that, the 3-year full-coverage and 5-year compressor warranties give me peach of mind that if the unit does fail, they will replace it with a new unit - new, not repaired or refurbished. The most important thing for me is a unit to works well and lasts so I don't have to keep buying new ones (what a waste of money and stuff ending up in landfills.) Beyond the above, the unit itself is awesome! It is by far the quietest I've owned when running on the 'low' fan speed'. The 'high' speed is substantially louder, but it's not an obnoxious noise - just the sound of air blowing. The compressor is extremely quiet. The controls are all backlit and very easy to read. Operation is simple. It has modes for maintaining a set humidity level, continuous, and an 'AI Auto' mode, which I believe adjusts humidity between 45%-55% based on temperature. It sets it lower when the room is warmer and higher when it's cooler. You can also adjust the lighting to one of four modes; 'off' (only turns on for around 10 seconds when you touch the control panel, 'bright - with the ambient light that shows humidity level', 'bright', and 'dim'. The unit is very compact; the smallest I've seen for this capacity rating. The water tank is also small, but I'm using continuous draining into a condensate pump, so I don't care about the internal tank. It comes with several feet of plastic tubing for this purpose. It's still pretty heavy, about the same as any other unit I've owned, but it has wheels and concealed handles for easy movement. We're using this in our fully finished, insulated garage that gets very humid in the Georgia summers. We have a lot of things stored in there and want to keep the humidity level moderate. Plus, we have our workout equipment in there and it's much more comfortable to work out in lower humidity. All things considered, so far, I love everything about this unit and I'm praying it really does last as long as they say it will. I feel confident in its quality build and even more confident in their warranty, which is the best I've seen for a dehumidifier, without having to purchase an extended warranty. For these reasons, I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Efficient dehumidifier, excellent support
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
The product has worked very well and removed significantly more water than the previous one I had that was rated for the same amount of space. Having the ability to run a drain hose directly into my basement drain made it easy to keep it running without having to manually empty it. It’s fairly quiet and I don’t feel the need to turn it off when we’re watching a movie in the same room. It’s certainly not silent, but no dehumidifier is. After the first 10 months, it stopped removing water. The air coming out the top was about room temperature. This is usually the type of thing where I decide it’s not going to be worth jumping through all the hoops of a warranty claim and I end up just replacing it with something else. But I figured I’d give it a try since it’s fairly expensive. I contacted the vendor via their website and sent a couple pictures to show what it was doing. They responded within 12 hours and asked for a couple diagnostic things. That was relatively easy, running it for a certain amount of time and seeing how much water it took out and pressing a couple buttons simultaneously, and then taking a picture of the diagnostic code that comes up on the screen. I sent that to them, mostly expecting that they would find a reason not to honor the warranty. But I was surprised that they immediately responded back and confirmed that there was a problem with the unit and that they would ship out a new one. I didn’t need to ship in the old unit at all. A few days later I received the new unit and shortly after that they emailed me again to tell me that they were going to extend the warranty for an additional two months. It’s never a great when something breaks, but appliances that have refrigerant in them can break for a variety of reasons. It could’ve been slightly damaged during shipping. I don’t know what caused it, but I was more than happy with how they responded. That’s not always something I expect from an Amazon seller, and even though my first unit broke, the response would still leave me recommending this as a purchase for somebody looking for a dehumidifier. ... show more

  • This one's a keeper.
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
I've had it a couple of days now. It seems to be doing a good job. But it's September and it's not as humid as it has been. The company is the best. They've extensively assured me how they stand behind their products. One thing I've found I really like about this dehumidifier is the water bucket. It seems to be more solid than others I've tried and the handle on it feels solid, not going to break under the weight of the water. The plastic doesn't feel as though it's going to crush or break. Im still trying to learn the panel, what to press, when and why and what I want the dehumidifier to do. It collects a lot of water and shuts off when full. Well, I trust it will shut off, I noticed the water line at top I guess just before it shut off and emptied the bucket. The FC lights up when the bucket is removed whether it's full or not. That's the reminder light to empty it. The wheels on the bottom are actually a smaller size than they should be and it doesn't roll on carpet that well. But it does roll. It is extremely quiet 🤫 hardly can hear it running. Even high fan is almost as quiet as the low. It seems fairly easy to run though I don't know a lot about running it yet. It doesn't seem to have a problem keeping the humidity at a certain number. The compressor shuts off when it reaches that number and only comes on again if the humidity changes. One of the main things I wanted to try this size is I wanted it to pull humidity from other rooms. Mainly my bedroom which is next to the living room. This one is doing that. That's what I wanted. It's running smoothly, quietly, pulling water out of the air, and using less energy because it's Energy Star. What more could you ask for? UPDATE! (November) I'm still am glad I decided to try this one. It's still going strong. It's a very good machine! Still quite. Emptying the bucket about every 12 hours. My home is about 1200 sq.ft. my whole house has healthy humidity. And I see right now there is a bigger sale on it. UPDATE: July,2026. This thing is pulling 3 gallons a day from the air in my home. SC, yeah its hot and muggy. Probably is where you are too. This dehumidifier is helping me so much! UPDATE #3. This dehumidifier hasn't changed. It's still a hard worker but I have hit a snag with it. This year the weather being as hot as it is and being in the southeastern state with humidity being so thick you can't breath, my power bill has actually doubled. After reading up on tips and helps to keep your power bill lower I ran across articles talking about using these machines and running air conditioners. Seems as though the heat produced by dehumidifiers can sometimes work in opposition to the efforts of the ac. My ac is fairly new and I felt it should be doing a better job than it was doing, fearing something might be amiss with it. So reluctantly I turned the dehumidifier off and ran just the ac. That was after I received my doubled power bill. I haven't received a bill since I've not run the dehumidifier but 2 doubled bills was enough. I had to find out if what I read was true. Sure enough my account quit running constantly and my house finally became cooler like it used to in summer. Im pretty sure, ir at least I hope my next power is back to payable standards anyway. 🙃 ive decommissioned my dehumidifier. I'll just have to deal with the humidity. But I certainly didnt want either, especially the ac to be overworked. So just FYI and all that jaz; if you are dealing with power bills that don't make sense. After bragging so on this little machine I couldn't not report this problem. Maybe this company can be the first to come out with a dehumidifier that doesn't put out warm air in summer and become an ac antagonist. ... show more

  • The Aeocky Max 80 Dehumidifier AND Aeocky customer support are both First Class!
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
Having had a number of dehumidifiers over the years - and the need to obtain a replacement unit - we researched many via the internet. Several were “contenders,” however we ultimately selected the Aeocky Max 80/Pint Dehumidifier. All of the information about the product was factual; this unit is well-made, thoughtfully designed, offers multiple settings and fan speeds on the control panel, quiet operation, and a good-sized/easily accessible water tank. The washable pre-filter is convenient and the unit includes an optional drain hose and garden hose adapter if preferred in lieu of using the water tank. Four caster wheels are installed and two recessed handles make for easy mobility. The highlight of the Aeocky is doing what a dehumidifier does: VERY EFFECTIVE in removing moisture… Superior to any of the dehumidifiers units we have previously owned! Lastly, the Aeocky customer support is terrific: they truly care and deliver what they promise for the customer: 100% satisfaction with this product! ... show more

  • You can stop comparison shopping. This is the model you want.
Color: White Set name: 80 pints / 5500 Sq.Ft
I bought the AEOCKY 52 Pint per day Smart Compressor Dehumidifier to replace a GE-branded workhorse that has been plugging along in my basement for years. In point of fact, I always run two dehumidifiers in my partially finished basement - one on the finished side and one on the unfinished / laundry room side. For the past 8-10 years, I've had GEs in both rooms. Prior to that, I had Frigidaires (twice, with each pair providing trouble-free service). The big name brands have served me well. They have all lasted 8-10 years and have required only intermittent filter cleaning to keep them humming along mostly problem-free. So, when one of my current GE models died, I can honestly say that I was reluctant to replace it with anything but a name-brand appliance. After all, the big names have been kind to me. But, after HOURS of comparative research, I decided to take a chance on this model from AEOCKY. I am more than impressed with the performance of this dehumidifier. Historically, with each of my name-brand models, I could not set the machine below 55% humidity. To do so was the equivalent of turning the devices onto continuous operation - they never shut off. But 55% was the sweet spot - across two brands and three different models, this fact held true - the humidity level dropped to tolerable and the appliances ran about 40% of the day. Enter the AEOCKY... When I first plugged it in, the humidity sensor reported that the finished side of my basement had a balmy 73% humidity level. Within minutes, that percentage began dropping. After it had fallen 10% in 20 minutes, I opened the collection bin to examine the moisture collection because I couldn't believe what the machine was reporting. But the bin was BONE DRY?!? Perhaps I was running into the problem that some of the other reviewers complained of - the less-than-accurate humidity sensor? But, a few hours later, the reported humidity level had settled into the mid 50s and the bin had a moderate amount of water (which I dumped). Overnight, the bin again collected a reasonable amount of water (though it did not collect enough to initiate an auto shut-off). i believe (though I cannot definitively recall) that I had set the humidity level to the standard 55% at this time. So, I decided to play with the settings a bit. I tried 50%. It got there. AND IT SHUT OFF. Not for long, but it shut off. I tried 45%. Same results. So, I tried the "automatic" setting (I believe it maintains a humidity between 45% - 55%). AMAZING! Zero need to mess with this thing. The room is obviously less humid and more comfortable. Once I got the AEOCKY dialed in, I connected the included drain line to circumvent the need to dump the bucket. Once i got the discharge angle of the tubing figured out, I used the included adapter to mate the provided hose to a PVC line that drains directly into my sump basin (requiring only a $2.17 investment from the local big-box hardware store). Done and done. The room feels better than it ever has. The humidity stays roughly between 48% - 53% on "auto." AND DID I MENTION HOW QUIET THIS THING IS? Nothing is as important as having the appliance WORK. But, now that I am confident that it works as advertised, I can appreciate how QUIETLY it does its job. The finished side of the basement is where laundry gets sorted and folded while music plays on the entertainment system. When my grandkids are over, this is the place where my grandson and I play video games (and talk a HEALTHY amount of trash over games of NCAA 25). The previous dehumidifier was disruptively loud. The AEOCKY is quieter with its compressor running than any of the fans from the previous models I had in this location, let alone their compressors. Color me impressed. Like, impressed enough to sit down and write this. I don't review a lot of items. And I KNOW that most people who take the time to review things had BAD experiences with their purchases. For me, this purchase experience has been so overwhelmingly positive that I felt the need to share. If you're on the fence about this model, don't be. It is a top performer. I have nothing bad to say about the GE or the Frigidaires that occupied my basement space before. But when my other GE kicks, I'm replacing it with another AEOCKY. ... show more
