  • A reliable, energy efficient machine with a great monitor.
Specific ARM64 software is required. I am using this for work and study. The battery life is incredible compared to legacy Microsoft architecture machines. There are some things that regular consumers need to know before buying these devices. Major software developers such as Microsoft, Google and some VPNs work well, others do not. You may want to do some research. They are Microsoft ARM 64 machines so legacy x86 and x64 software will not work. Some adjustments need to be made. Microsoft has just made this move in the last few years so it will take a while for smaller 3rd party software companies to catch up. The OLED screen is bright and looks great. ... show more

  • Great computer
My new favorite computer. If you know what you are doing (like with most computers), it is a powerful tool. I use it along with the Flex keyboard to get 'real' work done that I couldn't on an iPad. I am a developer so that includes coding and managing cloud stuff. The screen is great minus the weird grain you get with high brightness level white screens. The speakers sound good and the webcam looks great. I think it is a great value for the price I got it. It's not an iPad, but for me it is something better. Overall it is a well built, portable computer. ... show more

  • Worth the Long Wait
When these first hot the market they were so far out of my price range I thought I would never get one. Then Amazon put them on sale, sale price just under $1,000 plus the Amazon payment plan allowed me to buy one. I have 5 IT degrees and decades of experience in the field. This is by far the best tablet made, it runs JW Library fast. The JWL is extremely responsive, it run NW Scheduler, Watchtower Library, it's the only tablet a JW will ever need. If you can afford it, I strongly suggest getting one. I do miss the SD Card port, that was a big disappointment but not a deal breaker. ... show more

  • It's not a PC, but it gets close
11/22/24 Microsoft Surface Pro 2-in-1 Laptop/Tablet (2024), Windows 11 Copilot+ PC 16GB - 256GB OLED (amazon version) With the ARM chip it certainly emulates well, when I mean not a PC I meant it's not an intel PC. It stil can not run some software, but it gets close. think of the M1 when that first came out. I wanted this for use as a portable basic PC to be used for work in many aspects. more or less it was mostly for the battery life and OLED. The screen looks amazing. Finally a true OLED screen. I have not exceeded 150GB use. most of my files are in the cloud. Upgrading SSD would be easy, with a wipe and reinstall. upgraded to 24h2 and it was fine. no issues as of today. there are some apps or software that are not compatible. I had issues with issues with VPN software and could not install APPLE TV from Microsoft Store. Surface Pro's are not a "gaming" computer. most peeps online seem to like to compare these systems. It can play some games, as I call them 8bit games, easily, but if you are going for call of duty or cyber punk, try streaming services. streaming games is awesome, where available. ... show more

  • surface does not allow kindle app
the amazon kindle app does not work properly on the windows 11 surface i just bought. rufus is no help and neither is amazon support. this is just a salient indication of problems. the translation from a normal laptop to the surface pc tablet is not smooth. buyer beware.

  • Worth the money. Would but again!
Awesome machine. This is so easy to use. Love the touch screen and the ease of attaching a key board. I use this on the plane, in my craft room, for our business. It's perfect size for traveling.

  • It didn't take 3 months to stop working.
I sent this Microsoft laptop-tablet to the Philippines as a gift to my niece. An expensive junk, it didn't take 3 months and all a sudden it stopped working and won't turn ON anymore. Too bad for me, I can't return it anymore. Sending this back to the US too expensive. Microsoft Philippines service center doesn't want to accept it for repair. ... show more
