This is not my first incubator, I have incubating eggs for over 4 years. I was excited to get this one since it has the ability to add additional units. I am disappointed how fast it goes through water. I fill both small reservoirs a couple of times daily and it still alarms for more in the middle of the night. I’m not sure if something is wrong with my unit or if this is normal. I would love for the seller to contact me, as I cannot find their info to contact them directly. ... show more

Great for small eggs not so great for medium to large eggs (in our case chicken eggs)... Using this incubator was a balancing act and not enough room to fit eggs. We could barely fit 10 medium chicken eggs and lost 1 due to how crammed they were...it fell sideways while we were trying to place lid on....... Also, 38⁰C is only achievable with the styrofoam on, even though the room they were in is close to room temperature.... Manufacturer recommends using styrofoam if room is 20⁰C or lower, but this wasn't the case for the unit we received. ... show more

Came quickly and looks just as pictured! Bought with little expectation. Placed 3 eggs in and 1 was not fertile. 2 went on lock down and are due to hatch Tuesday! The incubator humidity is something I have struggled with. I added in a small hydrometer to try and help me figure out what my temp and humidity was running. I am hopeful that I will hatch 2 babies this week, if not I fully blame it on the inaccurate temp/humidity readings of the incubator! Will be back for an updated review later this week!! Came back to edit: No eggs hatched! Updated rating! Would not buy. ... show more

    • Humidity nightmare

I got this for when I have smalls batches of eggs to do. I have a few specialty breeds that don’t lay frequently so I liked the idea of having a smaller incubator for them. So far I’m 3 days in and not impressed at all and glad I decided to test it with some of my standard layer eggs. The temp hold decently and heats up quickly which was nice. But the humidity is a nightmare. I have the water tray as full as I possibly can (there is a overfill hole that will spill out onto the counter) and I can’t get a humidity over 35%. My eggs seem to to best around 45-50%. I’m not sure if it’s my unit or if this is just how it ‘works’. I love considering throwing another hydrometer in there but there isn’t a good spot without taking up a good chunk of space in it or leaving it open slightly. Very poor product. Low water alarm goes off constantly even if the water is full. We used it with our other incubator to do one big batch. After the first candling our other incubator lost 6 eggs out of 40. This incubator lost 70 out of 120. The edges of the incubator get way too hot and the center not hot enough. At 18 days when we pulled the turner from our old incubator we moved the remaining eggs to it. In total we lost 9 eggs from our old incubator which was less than 25%. From this one we lost 90 eggs by day 18 which is 75%. After putting in 120 eggs we ended up with less making it the final 3 days than our incubator that started with 40. This is by far the worst product I’ve used. We are returning it. Great idea, extremely poor design. ... show more
