Great product......but......if you are going to paint this item insure you completely strip the current paint off. Believe me I know:) However this was my fault for not proper prep. For those giving it bad reviews for fit must realize that this product is for current standard U.S. size double din radios. Insure you measure your radio size. If you don't then that is on you and not the product. If you are like me and have to make the opening a little bigger (I knew this prior to purchase) it is very easy to file to size. Very easy to install but I do recommend drilling the old fasteners first before removing old bezel, (ONLY DRILL ABOUT 1/16" DOWN) it will make the process really easy. Took me less than 15 minutes to replace old one with this one. Great product and looks great.

Unfortunately fitting a double din in these trucks of this generation is just a massive pain in the butt. This kit is as easy as it’s gonna get, and also really your only option unless you have somebody custom make you a dash kit. You will have to file or grind the opening up in its width. It’s about 1/16th of an inch too narrow for just about any double din. The interior measurement is 6 15/16 inches, whereas most double dins are 7” wide. I already had my head unit in with a modified stock dash kit, so swapping this one out took me about an hour start to finish, which included cutting out the lower stock radio support in the dash. Tip - just use a loose hack saw blade to cut that out easily. Wear gloves or wrap the blade in tape where you hold it. Or a sawzall with a long fine tooth blade. Watch out for your wiring.

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, and this kit fit perfectly, and was relatively easy to install. I do recommend carefully drilling the plastic welds on the original face plate with a 1/4" drill bit, this makes it easy to remove the original face plate without damaging the rest of the plastic assembly. Some YouTube videos also instruct you to cut out the top portion of the remaining assembly (the little plastic support bar), you don't need to do that for this kit at all. It fits without any further mods. Also, when you install your double din, you will have to carefully cut out the center plastic piece inside the dash that supported the OEM radio, as well as the top plastic pieces inside that same space, otherwise the double din stereo won't screw in flush (Something I realized while installing mine). Last, use the plastic stereo brackets in the kit, not the ones that come with the stereo you purchase, the kit brackets are fitted much better for the dash.

Installed in my 2003 Ram 1500. Quality of bezel is excellent and very sturdy, not flimsy. Securing it to the back side was easy and kit had everything. Supplied brackets worked like a charm for the install of the DD radio---brackets are a must have to complete the in stall of radio. My DD radio was a bit larger than the opening so i had to cut the bezel to make it fit. I used a dremel with cut-off wheel to widen the opening. I knew the size of my radio and the size of the opening on the bezel would need some modifications. All in all, excellent product and good color match.

A perfect fit and look when installed. This one uses screws and spacers to attach to the factory dash. Much better than the glue on ones.
