yay! drain cleared! I was worried after reading some of the negative reviews (mostly quality control from Amazon) but it seemed as though the positive outweighed them. So I have been trying to clear a kitchen drain which I have a 25 ft auger. Of course the clog is past that point. This drain clogs twice a year and instead of saw cutting my floor to fix the low slope point I usually stick a hose into drain cleanout and try to flush. Well didn't work this year ugh so I thought for way less than 1/2 a plumbers house call which in my area is $135 to $180 I would try this. So ecstatic. It was super easy and I did not even have to use the drill. Mind you this is only 1/4 inch cable so I was super slow and careful putting it in and when feeling an obstruction I then would crank about 10 turns clockwise and then again 10 counter clockwise. My thought being it would keep this cable from kinking. I used almost all 50 ft of it. whew At the 49 ft 11in mark I noticed the cable coming out had 2 bends in it (showing it was the end??) and decided I would not go further with out possibly breaking this so pulled it out and viola, drain cleared! The hardest part was trying to get the cable where those bends were back into the case. I was gentle (key word) and then the rest easily manually pulls back. This would not be good for roots or anything like that as the cable is way too small and not for commercial use. Only had the one head that was permanently attached so you can't lose it in your pipe. Plus it is super light weight and came in a bag for storage w/ gloves. Perfect for what I needed it for and took less then 10 mins. Can't wait to try on shower and bathtub with hair clogs. I will update when I do.

This snake was a cheap piece of junk. One time and it kinked up and broke. Trying to get my money back. Go to Lowe’s and buy kobalt. Cheaper price and better quality

Worked like a charm. The key is you have to let out a foot at a time and let the drill do the work. If you let out too much of the cable and it gets stuck it will kink the cable be careful to feed small amounts at a time if so works well.

Ok so is the greatest sink snake ever..?? Probably not.. But it worked after 2 days with several different plungers and drain cleaners, got about 25 feet of it deep in the pipe and finally got it to work.. Yes it's kinda messy and when you get to a corner you gotta lock it and spin it and let it pull its self thru.. Drill didn't really work well for me too much power even on slow, almost kinked it.. Goodluck..

Its not a bad tool but it broke in the first times of use the area where it attaches to the power tool beike making it harder and less efficient not as reliable as expected after a few attempts we where able to make it work somewhat fairly but only manually not as advertised...

THIS IS A PIECE OF CRAP. it CAN go down only 17 feet. At 17 feet the snake is not strait and is bent so i can not go straight anymore. The connector for the drill is round and it doesn't engage with the drill. It keeps rolling. I should have been squared of hexagonal at least. I have a 25 feet auger and it goes down 25feet. This one only 17 after using the other one.

Had a 25 footer that couldn't reach to clear the line I had an 1 1/8" kitchen sink drain line Was cooking grease clogged. After using enzymes for a couple of day wasn't much better. With this 50 footer and my cordless drill I was able to pass this size snake pass multiple 90° elbows and reached to the larger 2 1/2 " drain line. It was easy to handle and the ability to feed the snake with the drill attach went well. After the first pass and removing the snake the end was filled with while cooking grease that should never been put down any drain. Quickly I add 16 Oz of enzyme and water mix into the line and commenced routing out a path for enzymes to mix with the grease and,start converting solid grease to a thick liquid. After15 minute I let it rest . I had some flow so let it stand several hour added more enzymes let it set overnight. BTW I knew the,snake alone wouldn't clear the line . Had it been more solids the tool would do the job. The next day after getting several feet of snake in the line I put the garden hose in the clean out and turned the water and,ran the,snake. Water backed up and I cycled the,snake forward and back once there was a good punch through and,the water was draining I knew the enzymes where doing their thing. With a,reasonable flow I left the snake I place added more enzyme solution and let it work. 4hours later I ran the snake and you could feel it rubbing the pipe. After flushing the line again with the garden hose for 20 minutes. I was confident this tool was worth the price. Long story for sure hope it helps.
