Use this for two Lectric 3.0 step thru eBikes. No modifications to the frame were needed. I did however replace the bolts with Stainless for better weather protection. I also replaced the quick release pin with a bolt to get the bumper rating up. Have driven our camper for over 1500 miles with both bikes on it (150 +- lbs). My son purchased the rack, I assembled for him and they love it, some how they lost or I believe someone took one of the wheel holders, I wrote to them regarding the situation, they were kind enough to send me a replacement at no charge, the rack works fantastically and I highly recommend !!! Randy

Assembled easily enough. With the receiver attachment in the folded position, the while rack rests level on the ground - makes tweaking the position of the wheel hoops convenient. Easily converts from fat tire to mountain or road tires with the adapter. It took me about an hour to tune the positioning for my fat tire bike and my wife's mountain bike (trying to keep everything centered and balanced). Both bikes feel very secure with the top tubes tensioned under the hooks. Exploring options to lock the bikes to the carrier (will post pictures if I can figure that out). ... show more

Have not used it yet. I put it together today. It’s rated to 180 pounds… I wouldn’t count on that. I’ll be putting 150 pounds on it and wondering how it will hold up. The instructions were ridiculously poor, but you can figure it out if you’ve put things together like this before. There was a locking hitch Pin, which was not expected and also a hitch to secure the rack and keep it from rattling around ($18 value). I’ll update the review when I’ve loaded my electric bikes and driven around. NOTE THAT THE CAPACITY IS REPRESENTED TO BE 180lbs BUT IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION IT SAYS THE LIMIT IS ONLY 150lbs IF USED WITH AN RV—makes no sense. ... show more

    • Vertical bar doesn't lock when in folded position
Size: 2 Bike Rack
When you fold the vertical bar down, and fold the horizontal up, the vertical bar has no way to secure it firmly from moving. It still can swing enough to hit your vehicle.
