I only have one 24-30 inch tree trunk to cut. I didn’t want to spend $150 or more to get a chainsaw that I would expect to only use once. This chainsaw was perfectly priced. It’s not as powerful as a gasoline one but it got the job done. Just took a little longer.

    • It's better than nothing...
Pretty disappointed with this chainsaw. I got it just to cut up some branches and old lumber in my backyard for firewood. However, it is a huge pain to use. It's better than doing everything by hand with an axe or handsaw... But not by much. I expected some setup when I first received the chainsaw. What I did not expect was the constant maintenance and adjustments that it would need every few minutes while using it. The chain tension has to be constantly monitored and adjusted every few minutes. The chain also seems to get caught on almost everything, no matter how tight the tension is, which adds to the required maintenance and adjustments. Although there is a simple hand dial to try to make this process easy, it is not easy and it does not seem to work by hand. I have to make the adjustments with a large pair of joint pliers or by taking it apart. It also feels very underpowered. I'm mostly using this on large, dead branches and old 2x8's. But it still takes much more time and effort than I would expect to cut through these. I know I didn't buy a high end high powered saw, but it feels like too much of a struggle just to get through smaller pieces of wood. Again, if this is all you can afford or all you have available, it's better than nothing. It's technically a functional chainsaw -- just a very poor one. I regret not getting something else and will probably be replacing this next summer. ... show more

    • Lousy Instructions but Good Chainsaw
Fire whoever wrote the assembly instructions and whoever approved them. Found several videos online that made assembly easy, but the instruction included were subpar.

    • No warranty
I was impressed with the performance of this saw, but after a few months it broke and doesn't work. I really wasn't disappointed because it was inexpensive, but I realized it has a "1 year warranty" which I inquired about twice on the manufacturer's website and have gotten no response.

This saw is a little different from previous saws I have owned and that is a positive thing The auto oiling and easy chain adjustment are great. I received the saw just in time to Cut down small trees and Clean up the broken limbs, etc from hurricane Ian.
