Like the design and quality of the product. I have built furniture in the past so assembly was not an issue. Fit and finish was good but not great. I wood glued all joints (glue not provided) and clamped as I screwed together. Still a few slight gaps where crossmembers went into legs but not bad. Stool is sturdy and looks nice. Only reason not 5 star is fit. I’m not sure average person assembling would get same results. But overall would buy again

These stools are comfortable and sturdy. The seats are wider (nice for a wide bum!) and I can tell they will hold up to some abuse. I'm very pleased with the quality, especially for the price. Assembly took a little while but it wasn't difficult. I have looked at a lot of barstools, and these were a fantastic find. Highly recommended!

There are white highlights streaked all throughout the 'wood'. I say 'wood' as Im not sure if the legs on these are actually wood or some sort of quasi composite material. I could be wrong but the drillings for the screws are too clean to be wood, and no bare wood is shown like one would see for a joint prepped for screws in pocket holes. It's easy enough to assemble. Someone on here mentioned things not lining up or taking an hour to assemble. As long as you are inserting A where A should go and B where B should go via the instructions, it shouldnt take more than 15 minutes to do this. It does take a good bit of effort to tighten those leg bolts with the tiny allen wrench though, and you must get this rather snug or else the chair will wobble. Overall the chair is rather flimsy. Im 225 and able to move forward and backwards and show a good bit of flex where the legs meet the chair. This is the result of just how this is constructed though, to be able to be packed in a flat box. Overall though, that will weaken and fail catastrophically. By then hopefully the wear on the chairs will be enough to warrant throwing them out. Sadly, that's the world we are in. These are NOT heirloom quality, and you wont have these a lifetime. 5 years max with occasional use. Comfort wise, meh - C- The seats are hard, almost as hard as bare wood. It's almost better to just buy amish solid wood that will last a life time, and buy some cushions with corner ties. The biggest disappointment is the white highlights painted all over the 'wood'. IM really disappointed in that.

I knew I wanted to upgrade my counter stools before the holidays to something that was more comfortable for sitting and chatting at the counter for hours while we cooked dinner, drank wine, and played games. I was not only satisfied but surprised by these stools, here’s why: QUALITY + SHIPPING TIME Most of my furniture is RH or Arhaus, but the prices and shipping times have gone past my limit. That’s why I set out to find pieces that have a similar feel and quality with shorter shipping times and more reasonable prices. I found Maven Lane and decided to try their barstools - I was SHOCKED that these stools felt identical in value to my other pieces that cost 3-4x this amount. And rather than waiting months for the styles I wanted, they got here within 2 days. DESIGN QUALITIES THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO ME - Supportive cushions that are comfortable to sit on for hours - Real textured wood that looks and feels expensive, and craftsman details that make them feel handmade - Vegan leather that is not only more ethically sourced that animal leathers, but a more consistent finish so all of my stools match perfectly, and are more resilient for kids and pets For the price, you absolutely cannot do better than these stools. I didn’t know I could get furniture of this quality from Amazon, but they have far exceeded my expectations.
