I figured this would just be a basic mattress cover made of tarp material and sewed into a “bag” with a zipper opening. Well, it is that, but it’s so much better! First, the tarp material is so much thicker and more durable than any tarp I’ve ever purchased. Next, the zipper itself is heavy duty and moves smoothly. The added handles are made of heavy canvas and sewed on securely. And, the overall size is quite generous. My only caution is that you should know this is not waterproof. Zippers will allow water to penetrate, so don’t put this where water might puddle or rain might fall on it. Otherwise, I love it!

This bag was thick! Way thicker than I expected! I have no doubt it’ll protect my mattress well. It opens all the way, so it was easy to slide the mattress onto it, then just pull up and zip. There’s extra room, so there’s enough room like if you wanted to also store up to a 3” topper along with the mattress. We had to get this mattress into our basement and it was very easy because the strap handles are very strong and sewn on well, I didn’t feel they would rip doing it and they didn’t! Zipper good quality too. I was storing an almost new $900 twin mattress and the price of this , which I got on sale, was absolutely worth the protection for my investment. It doesn’t look like bugs etc can get in it either and the bag was new and very clean inside. . Very happy! Don’t hesitate to purchase!

They are big enough that if you had a thinner box spring or mattress, you might be able to fit both in one bag. We had a full-height box spring and an extra-tall mattress, so we couldn't quite put both in one bag, but instead put each one in a separate bag. They were actually pretty loose then, but that's OK. The blue tarp material is very waterproof and pretty tough, but the zippers wouldn't be waterproof. But since the bags were loose, I rolled the extra material around the zippers so they would be completely covered. They kept the bedding completely clean and dry and protected in the back of an open truck bed. The built-in handles definitely made them easy to carry with different places to grab, even when going up/down stairs when you're at different heights. We'd highly recommend them if you're moving a bed.
