At first it worked great but after two months the lid stopped working letting all the air out. I called Amazon and they told me that the time had passed to be able to return it and that I should call MasterChef directly, I also called them and they told me that they couldn't do anything, crappy service.     • How much do I hate this thing? Lemme count

Let me count the ways. I didn't even know i wasnt buying a 'real' instapot. I can NEVER get this thing to seal, heat and most importantly hold a pressure. Also no matter how may videos i watch to try to troubleshoot - they are all for an InstaPot, which is NOT what this thing is. I am a very intelligent person, a lifelong, excellent cook and very familiar with pressure cooking. Yet, i have spent several evenings making several attempts to just get a seal to take and pressure to start. I have even devolved into putting a wet towel over the top (as it recommends on the lid) to try to get this thing to hold a pressure. Twice i have wound up in tears and dinner NOT cooked. Most importantly, the damn thing is dangerous. The lid comes off SOOOO EASILY and it may or may not be under pressure. DO NOT BUY THIS POS COOKER IT IS NOT AN INSTAPOT but a cheap, i cut corners knock off and you cant really watch any vids to figure stuff out. I HATE this thing and i probably saved $10 or something instead of getting a real instapot, that everyone is familiar with. ... show more

So my wife, all 5'11" @130 lbs of her, loves the thing. And hey, skinny girls can have just as many health issues okay! So, she needs to meet certain dietary needs for hypertension and high LDL both. She's been making things that my chunky bottom appreciates eating so I'm on a healthier diet as well. Now combine this thing with an air fryer and food can be on another level. Ladies, if you've himhawed around over getting one, all I can say is ... Just do it, you've waited to long already. Diet or no diet you can and will enjoy the way this thing quickly pumps out flavor and perfectly cooked meats and all sorts of meals. Want it as a gift? Just tempt and lure by describing the different things you can prepare, faster and cleaner, with all of the free ideas online (_tube for instance). It worked on me and I think I may drop a few pounds as a result. ... show more
