I needed this impact wrench to get a 5-year-old anode rod out of a water heater. I had heard/seen horror stories of folks trying to remove these things without the right tools. I knew I didn't want to spend too much and it was important that the tool be compatible with the DeWalt system, since all of my major tools are DeWalt 20v. This one fit the bill. The unit is a bit heavy, but not unwieldy. It was not hard to get the socket in place and it worked like a charm. The rod came broke free after a couple of trigger pulls and I was able to get the thing out. From the appearance of the threads, it was pretty much corroded in. The LED light on the unit was useful in illuminating the area as I worked on it. I am sure I will find many more uses for this tool - rotating tires, etc. Very happy with this purchase.

So far so good! I was excited to find a powerful impact that used batteries I already had but hardly used because at places like harbor freight they have similar impact sets , but charge a ton for the batteries and charger for the batteries . I have no idea how durable this impact will be over the course of time , but it seems VERY well built , and works seamlessly with my Dewalt battery. It easily powered through removing the lugs on my wheels, and I’m excited to take the suspension apart with it later in the week . It’s fairly compact and comes in a durable case, with deep impact sockets . For the price , design , power, availability , build , and compatibility with Dewalt batteries, makes this a no brainer . If you’re in the market for a powerful impact I couldn’t recommend this one enough. Update !: So the chuck part of the impact broke 😭 I had to return it . But I’m still seriously considering buying a replacement of the same kind .

I carry this in a Polaris Ranger in the event of a flat tire. I replaced a Dewalt impact drive that worked great, but wanted to keep something in the vehicle all the time so I used this. It runs on a DeWalt battery which is great, but I tried to use it to change a tire and the break away torque would not break the lug nuts loose. It is great for smaller jobs, but not great for breaking lugs that were torqued to 125 Foot LBS.

The first thing I used it on was some rusty bolts on my sons truck. We installed new shocks and this did the job very quickly.
