    • Great BBQ
I never write reviews. This product compelled me to do so. Disregard most other reviews. I put it together this morning and used it this evening. Incredible product. The facts (according to me), dispelling other reviews I read. 1) it gets as hot as you want it. I read that it didn't get past 300, etc. BS. It's amazing and gets super hot. 2) The quality is top notch. Very well constructed. Nothing cheap. Quality metal, screws, thermometer, heating element. All excellent. 3) Assembly even for a guy with 2 left hands took me 15 minutes. All you need is a screwdriver. 3) Cover connects to grill and rotates open perfectly for cooking. You don't find this on any other electric. 4) You can use wood for smoke flavor while you BBQ - on an electric grill unit! I read on someone else's review, and just did it myself. Took a very small pie tin, cut off the top (clearance between heating element and drip guard (not sure what it's called) is only a couple of inches, so you need a shallow, metal container and you're on your way. I believe you could just as easily make an aluminum foil bowl to hold the wood. Cleaning is a challenge, but product comes apart so you can access all areas with a little effort. The other similar model demo videos show that you can remove the dripping direction plate (which gets the bulk of the mess) without removing the heating element. That would be cool. Taking off the heating element each time (2 screws - not a huge deal) is a bit of a pain. Not sure anyone has mastered the easily clean-able aspect of electric BBQs. 2 uses so far and use of mesquite wood chips adds a ton. Great flavors. I am stoked at a geeky level about this product.     • Nice but not the same as the original version
This is the 5th Masterbuilt veranda grill I've ordered. Two for myself and others for some apartments I rent. This is somewhat different than the other 4 I've purchased, although I know its a slightly different version. Does not appear to be as solid as the ones that were made in the US, and assembly instructions not as clear. I find the design of this grill is almost perfect for a small family, couple, or apartment patio. It heats up, has a temperature gauge, and one can use wood chips for additional flavor.     • Good electric grill.
Nice looking electronic grill. The only thing is disappoint me it no ventilation hole on the lid. When lid is completely close the meet not grilling. Have to keep the lid bit open to achieve results I expect. In general I love it.

    • Most efficient grill!
I have purchased three of these for my two homes. This is one of the best grills I have ever had. It’s just a shame that they are hard to find at times. I bought this as a spare in the event one goes bad. —-Update—- 12/6/2020. It appears this model may be discontinued. If you are thinking about getting one get it now because this may be the end. That may explain why the price hike. It’s still worth it in my opinion. I’m ordering one more as a back up. ... show more

    • It is great for small places
This was my 4th Masterbuilt because my grown kids got my other 3. I moved to Oregon and had to wait a year before i could find another one. Love to barbaque and the grill cleans so easy. I just love it

Easy to assemble- was able to accomplish on my own. Heats up fast, retains heat and cooks with ease. As with anything, you lose some heat when you open, but it quickly recovered. Cooked 3 chicken breasts in 15 minutes.

Had one that died after 8 years. Liked it so purchased another. Can’t have gas on second floor condo, and this is a great electric grill.

I love the color and it's great if you have a patio or small space, or, as in my situation, can't have a charcoal grill in your condo, food tastes perfect, I didn't miss anything because of no charcoal, you can buy flavor to put in it, I love it very pleased and a huge value for the money ... show more
